    991.1 Carrera 4S

    I don't know what happened to the good old "Dark Blue Metallic" thread. Maybe it disappeared in the data loss.

    I took the C4S out for a spin today. Needless to say, it has not enjoyed the attention it deserved since the GT4 arrived. A spirited drive, with PDK in manual, PSE on and the windows down. Magnificent! I had loose plans on selling it, but after today's drive I am not sure about that anymore. As an everyday all-year-round sports car the GT4 cannot compete.

    Absolutely amazing shots ! The reflection on the Dark Blue is beautiful  . Autumn fits all Porsche to the perfection . And this car looks perfect . Keep it , we all know it is faster then the GT4 ! indecision

    @Gnil LOL! Yes, the fastest on paper at least indecision

    @wantone No, I only repainted the front facia and front lip. The lip was actually the worst. I had one single 3mm chip in the hood, but fixed it with touch up paint. Can hardly see it now, unless you know where to look close up. I am sure I get more on the hood and at some point I might repaint it too.

    Try getting a polarization filter for your camera, you would be surprised at the results. You would eliminate all of the reflections on the windshield and glass and be able to see inside without the glare. Just a hint, your local police swat team marksmen have them on their riflescopes, so don't speed around there in a isis mask.indecision  nice carkiss

    Thanks Jim! kiss Great tip. I actually have a circular polarisation filter which should do the trick, but I forgot it at home... mail I will give it a try next weekend.

    yes it is - I am in love with Rhodium as it has a touch of "ice-blue" in it - still running-in the car - currently at 1400 km and the Sound it makes is reason alone to keep it forever. How is your's doing Kreso ?

    Almost 10000km on clock. Runs nicelly. Just another two weeks or so and time for a sleep until March 2016. I won't buy a set of OEM wheels with winter tires. Just, they are mandatory by the law so, no driving till March. 

    Sounds is awsome. Drive dynamics also. Lift a good help in steep parking situations. Will do some nice pics in country side during forthcoming weekend and post them next week.

    I am lurking already a Long time with the idea that it might be the last NA engine and it's so different to drive than any other 991 - and we drove a GTS , Turbo etc and didn't had the wow factor - but that is just me.

     The idea is to drive it for a couple of years and see where Prices are then - believing that I will loose much less than with any other car in the Line-up. It had 200km on the clock and got it for a substantial rebate over LP - and my wife loves the PDK indecision

    Having only done 1400 km now - driving impressions are just WOW. Unfortunately it will be wintertime soon but I plan to drive it as much as I can when it's dry !

    Thanks! wink Yes, this morning was magical. The fresh alp air over the lake, the autumn colours and the view. If you visit Switzerland you should stay one night here at Park Weggis and combine it with a trip up the Rigi Kulm. You can hike down, it is ca. 3 hours and not too though.
