I have to say the turbo diesel reference had not come to mind. TDF to Ferraristi actually has a deep significance, but the mistake Ferrari have made is that it means nothing to the broader audience and for a company so steeped in "The Brand" that can't be right . Now we can't blame Luca either as he left with the most ridiculous naming swan song of all with the Ferrari La Ferrari
Tiny Dick Faggot
Too Damn Fugly
Tremendously Dick Focused
Terrible Drive Ferrari
Travestite Drives Ferrari
Oh boy...Ferrari clearly didn't think this through.

The problem is their preference for abbrevations if you ask me. They simply should have called it "Tour de France", as they should have given the "Speciale Aperta" its full name.
We're at the point where you can be the fastest or just sound like you're the fastest.

i don't get. when porsche attaches east-LA-ghetto-type spoilers to their cars everyone here says 'great, another example of 'form follows function'. the F12 TdF has a relatively modest and good looking aero-kit and people come out with 'tuner designed ferrari' type comments.

Relative to what? I do think the car would look decent in black, or possibly red (maybe even TDF), but IMHO it's a bit over the top, even for Ferrari.
I think my name is pretty catchy though.

If I had the money, I would get that F12 TdF in a heartbeat, make no mistake. Yes, the F12 base car looks more elegant but if I had the money to buy the TdF, I think I would be extrovert enough to not care about what other people may or may not think. The TdF is a bit borderline when it comes to design but I think it can actually be expected from such a car. Also, nobody needs to order this car in yellow ans if someone is afraid of the more ostentative looks, black would be a good color. Just saying...

unfortunately the money is not enough to get one.

4trac:koko:I'm team Ferrari all the way and I could care less about Porsche but I gotta say they missed up big time on this one.
Uh oh, if they've lost you.... short the stock..
No worries, my brothers and cousins will cover for me while I sit this one out

There are always ways but unfortunately not at MSRP. Same goes to the LaFerrari or the Speciale Aperta.

Is Pininfarina involved in latest Ferrari creations? I think, correct me if I'm wrong, that their signature is no longer in Cavallino's models and Ferrari's design is now in charge of their own design departament. That said, imho Ferrari produced the ugliest cars of its history since they part ways with Pininfarina, including this Mansory F12 TDF; wrong move.

You are correct it is all in-house now. Would you include the LaFerrari in your ugliest cars in-history category - that was in house too?
noone1:Rear end looks awful IMO.
This rear end photo reminds of the first spy shot when the F12 was about to be revealed - its a particlualry poor angle to shoot the car. When the final reveal came about it did not look anywhere as bad - the same is true of the F12tdf.
