tso:Looking at a model which is anyway so niche, I think it would have been even more sought after at +20K
Don't be that sure. Also, who says they won't do a more sophisticated and lighter version?

You might be right and I guess we are always somewhat a reflection of where in the world we live, and here in Dubai I am 99% sure that another 20K would have meant zero in terms of negative sales. Porsche could simply not get enough cars for even the deposits that they had in hand.
I look forward to hear more about the RSR Street...
The GT3 RSR Street was just an example of a possible product, Porsche realized that these "niche" products sell well but of course they also need to make money with these cars.
It would be interesting to see how many 991 GT3 RS were ordered/bought fully optioned and how many were sold basically with standard options only.
If I wouldn't have had my Panamera Turbo S and 991 Turbo S "adventures", the GT3 RS would surely be in my garage right now (dealer's first car was "waiting" for me). Unfortunately (or luckily? My wife hates that RS wing...), I couldn't spare any more money for a weekend toy, which is tragic because the new GT3 RS was really one of the rare Porsche models I really wanted to own and never sell.
Tragedy (when it comes to fantastic cars) seems to be my companion: Also had a 918 with my name on it but this car was never in the game for me, simply because I could never afford it.
Still, if you imagine that some people have the money and want these cars but cannot have them (at least not right from the factory) and I could have them but don't have the money...if this is not tragedy, I don't know what this is.

Pricing here is quite favorable, so if you go all in and order Lava / UV, PCCB, front lift, leather, PCM, carbon etc etc, the car will come out at around EURO 180K delivered to you in Dubai - zero rebate. The latter I would not imagine they would offer anyway. Standard with no options EURO 147K. Again my guess is that the majority of the cars are well equipped, but fair point and I do not know for sure.

RS with no options was $175k in US which is not too different, depending on the day the currency was converted.

watt:Super car in a beautiful country, congrats EricI still think my idea of a purple car with red roll cage would have suited you better since you're such an extrovert, as there's orange RS's on every block
Strangely I do not feel the attention I was thinking I would get in the RS . As you say, way too common
The UV with red roll cage + rims and me wearing a purple velvet suit to fit would of been much better

Gnil:Whoopsy:Man I am gone only 1 week and I missed my RS already. It will be another 2 weeks before i get to see it again.
But I don't miss my 918 for some reason.
Winter will be long , very long
Would you please shut up?
For me, winters are horrible, I hate them. 90% of the reason I want to move away from Europe.

Interfering fellow-citizens, narrow-minded neighbours and high taxes are the other 90%, right?

Honestly, I got used to this stuff but the weather...? Not so much. Maybe the other 50%. Nah...10% (seriously).

At least where I live it only rains most of the time and not snow. I drove my 918 through last winter with the Cup2, I think I can handle the cold and rain in the RS with the Dunlops
