Re: 911 R Fil de discussion fermé

There is no need to speculate on this car really.  If it is the car everyone hopes it will be the small numbers produced and the asking price will place it out of reach of all but a handful.  If the car is produced in sufficient numbers and pricing to make it accessible to a broader group of enthusiasts it will not be the car everyone desires but something lesser.

Hope it has at least a 4.0l engine and rev limiter at 8.8k rpm, at least as in the RS.

I also hope I can trade in my boxster, sell a kidney and start working as a full time gigolo to make the jump happen. blushindecision

SmileySmileySmiley  .... all you forgot, Kreso, was the soundproofing delete, and they will throw in for free, PHP (Porsche Hearing Protection) = earplugs.

As funny as this is, what is almost more funny is that there would be a line-up to buy it at any price (almost).... Porsche seems headed down a strategy of ever-safer luxe-911s for the masses (fast depreciation guaranteed), and to complement that, continuous releases of limited production specials (all of course highly collectible and will appreciate at least 500% Smiley ).

There aren't 918 918 buyers in the world, the number is around 800 or slightly less than that.

And in the PCNA VIP program, if one sold his 918 within 6 months, the VIP 'first dib' rule is gone.

The rest of the world doesn't have the VIP program, 918 buyers don't have the same status, well some do if they are tight with their regional HQ or dealers. The accepted rule is that if a ROW 918 wants a specialty car, the dealer will inform Porsche that this order came from a 918 owner and Porsche will 'try their hardest' to secure an allocation to the buyer. It's not a guarantee.
