^ I think the interior is fair [not a standout by any means but fair] in design but yeah, there remains a bit of 'meh' to it... plus some of those interior plastics are offensive at that price point. Yikes.

Besides the 991.2, I got a 2010 JAG XF 3.0 and I can tell you the interior is far better than the one of the Porsche.
Why is everyone so negative about other manufactures while the interior of a recent P is way behind most other brands??
(did that sound like I'm agitated ?)
4trac:J.Seven:Is this Velar Macan size? It looks great
Mas o menos... it is based on Jag F-pace platform, which has decent reviews but nobody claims it beats Macan handling.
I have not driven the Macan yet but was seriously interested in the F-Pace. The car is very nice, I have been repeatedly been invited by Jaguar to different events and the car is indeed very nice but... I doubt that it is on par with the Macan in terms of handling and suspension. The suspension is fairly stiff but still one feels the weight and centre of gravity. For me personally, a rather inconvenient combination since I´d sacrifice ride comfort for handling prowess but it´s not the main feature I am looking for in a SUV anyhow.
The RR looks very promising, not sure I need the size but to me a very attractive and individual car. Both inside and outside.
The F pace apparently handles well, the problem is the interior quality and the overall design.
The Macan is in a league of its own and good enough to compete with sedans according to the reviews and from my own experience. Personally I would go further and say it makes sedans irrelevant as it beats them in important departments (practicality, driving position) without compromises. Compared to the previous geranration Panamera, The Macan was better and much cheaper and as engaging on busy roads, seats 5 and has a decent trunk for a "sedan". Resale value is also way better than a Panamera if that's important to you.
Frankly the only competitor might be this RR but seing how my RRS autobiography drives, I doubt it will be as good as the Porsche.
