Whoopsy:I skipped the VIP food, the food trunk with the pull pork sandwich is the thing to eat. And I skipped the VIP drinks also, was bar hopping between Ferrari McLaren and Porsche.
Ahh...pulled pork sandwich...my mouth just started salivating.

WAY:Nick, I noted lots of nice looking ladies on the video, yet all we got to see from you is picture of your cars?
Didn't realized I am on Fchat where everyone is just focusing on girls................
Anyway, I practically didn't take any pictures, most of the models I already knew beforehand so no point :)

Well my tummy actually got smaller now after all the walking up and down the hills at Laguna Seca over the weekend believe it or not. 
.
On a side note, now that the 918 production had shut down, Dr. Walliser confirmed to me that my car is the only car he signed on the dash, the few other cars he signed were all under the hood. Now I feel really special! 
I was surprised that he was't surprised when I told him I enjoyed driving my GT3RS over my 918 after I took delivery. That's the real shocker to me.

Dropped off our 997 for service this morning; our P dealer sometime last week took delivery of not one, but two (2) 918s, both ordered in Gulf livery. The dealer owner has presumably acted as the purchaser; one of the two is up for sale. They made a short vid of the delivery party last week (I was invited but could not attend); the owner explained how he got permission to do both in Gulf colours.

On one hand we do want him to succeed and climb up the corporate ladder, but on the other hand, he is doing such a great job now, do we want him to leave?
But no doubt, he is one of the rising stars within Porsche.

I think now with the VW-Audi fiasco Porsche will be more looked after by the Group shareholders and top management. After what happened they cannot afford to make any mistakes and omissions with lucrative Porsche.
We have to wait and see how the sales of the affected brands will evolve in the months to come. Will demand for petrol engined cars be affected too as VW-Audi get negative publicity and bad reputation? Will demand for large diesel engines also decline although they are outside the scope of the falsified emissions?

That is one of the most interesting questions to me; I noted that LR has just started, in the past few weeks almost, to deliver its TdV6 engines in North American Range Rovers - many of the first ones are pre-sold, but it will be interesting to see how well the rest sell now. With these brand integrity issues, facts are one thing (e.g.. we have fixed the problems, all diesels now meet stringent emissions tests etc), but perception often rules the day on the consumer side, and perception is stubbornly resistant to facts.
In the EU, as many have pointed out, the very fact of diesel dominance will make it extremely slow to turn around, and my thought is that this would only happen if EU incentives now move from subsidy of diesel, to subsidy of electric/hybrid vehicles.

Nico Hulkenberg, after winning Le Mans, drove a prototype 918 on the Ring during one of the testings, he promptly bought a 2nd hand 918 at market price.
Nick, would you take the Hyuara over the 918, I reckon the Pagani will be a brilliant car even though I havent driven one yet

For me it would be an decision of an eye blink.... the 918 is the Goddess of Porsche, Hyuara is the Goddess of Automobile, the ultimate of the ultimate!
