    Re: Cayman GT4

    Congrats Grant.

I am heading to Europe on Monday (just for a regular vacation) and am still planning my route.  Tentatively it is going to be Munich --> Shaffhausen --> Berne --> Lucerne ---> Bellagio ---> Munich.  Is there anything else worth doing in Zuffenhausen beside the Porsche museum?

I really liked the Mercedes Museum in Stuttgart (Zuffenhausen is a different part of town, but worth the ride).

Very true as my wife thinks 100% the same ! She hates the 997RS but will drive the 991.....(and drove the SLS toowink)

My wife loves to drive my 991 C4 GTS Cab but the only reason she doesn't use the car that often is simple: She is afraid she may damage a rim (she has a history... Smiley) and our "deal" is simple: Whoever damages, pays. So she only drives the 991 when she meets with a girlfriend and the weather is sunny, otherwise she uses her Macan (not that the Macan rims are much cheaper).

Regarding the GT4 or GT3 or even GT3 RS: She says these cars look ridiculous with that huge wing and she would never drive with me in one of them. Luckily (for her), I cannot afford one right now. Smiley

LOL... I have the same deal with my wife. She learned the hard way wrecking a few rims on my S4. Won't drive the Porsche's either so she has only one option....the Golf,  but still has the same deal... so far no mishaps but it is only a matter of time....

Enjoy Grant! You're in for a treat with this experience!

Yes, it's been great and so many more good things planned like meeting you guys in Dijon!  So far driving highlight was going through a tunnel with windows down, sport exhaust on, and full throttle at about 5k.  Surprisingly loud and sporty sounding.  Saw a new Carrera S with turbos and it doesn't sound like this at all.  I understand what RC and others prefer about the sound of the NA motor.

    Congrats Grant...

in your downtime... what about posting some Pix???

Let's see that Carmine Red beauty!

Where are you Grant?  Are you busy today?  devil

Hi Guys - I had a great delivery experience - had my tour, presentation, and lunch with Trakcar and his UV RS.  Had never met before and was a real pleasure.  I'm in Baden-Baden and having lots of fun.  It was a lucky coincidence that they have a beautiful mountain with paragliding and perfect for my model glider that is reached by Funicular cable car (steeper than 50% grade).

Car is fun - not too much opportunity to drive it properly yet.  I have Dunlops, so the info in this thread is much appreciated Smiley

Congratulations Grant Smiley Looking forward to meet !

Don't forget to pick up some accessories and die-cast models while you're there.

They do go out of stock sometimes.

+1 - some amazing cars there, and the museum itself has an interesting history.  I also thought the Mercedes museum in Stuttgart was fantastic.

Oh, and congrats Grant! Looks fantastic kiss

Mercedes museum kiss and of course Sinsheim transport museum kiss, both really worth seeing.

Grant, if you are close to Munich tomorrow (saturday), I could make a minute free for a cup of coffee or whatever. I live very close to the Autobahn A8, so no problem. blush

    Re: Cayman GT4

Great day on autobahn today from Baden-Baden to Saarbrucken and then Trier where're I'll sleep tonight.  Having a great time.  De-restricted autobahn with corners is a fantastic thing - even when speed limits were absent or unenforced in the U.S., it was just totally straight.  Most American cars (not to mention drivers) could never navigate a sweeper at 200kph.  So fun!  I know I'm going to be pissed at my country when I return.  Usually the ride home from the airport is a real shock after the autobahn becomes somewhat normal :-)

I do not know why the photos are uploaded with a wrong orientation but I will send our software guy a mail, so he can fix it. May take a day or two though, sorry about that.
