Yeah.... agree. That wouldn't make sense. you might be right Nick!

Btw: I was looking at three(!) used R8 V10 Plus (previous gen) before I left for a vacation over three weeks ago. Now I returned and all three cars have been sold. The car I was interested in sold for 100k flat and a very special finance deal incl. a 5(!) years warranty. Maybe I should have taken it, now I kind of regret it.

Lars997:Wasn't that your plan - buying it after the holidays for 100k flat? You should have made an offer!
Good news - it will be winter soon and the prices and offers of such cars are usually going up!
And... I join bluelines:
No, I gave up the idea of getting the R8 for now. Prices have actually increased a little bit, the good cars aren't available anymore (apparently, maybe when winter comes...).
Right now, I am drooling over that McLaren 650S lease offer I got from my local McLaren dealer but winter is coming, so I won't do it. Still...amazing offer.

pmarkow:you can drive the mclaren in winter, just put PZeros on. it is a non issue, except in deep snow.

You are aware that this would be illegal in Germany? If an accident happens, I would also lose the insurance coverage.
Too expensive for a weekend toy. I will only buy weekend toys, not lease them and getting a 650S for 220k EUR right now is out of the question.
I will think about another weekend toy next spring (or maybe a bit earlier to be able to catch some good prices).

I know but I really couldn't make that decision at that time because I wasn't sure if I have the money available.

U can view this from every angle one prefers - I see the fastest lap time (by quiet a margin) , the best braking , the least weight , the best Slalom - with a car that currently trades above List Price and has the possibly highest resale value - others see other stuff

Smart answer - 100% agree!
991 GT3 RS is in drive dynamics clearly the best.
But, it is not usable in winter, needs very carefull driving on wet road, is not designed for long drives.
Both other cars can do all that without a sweat.
IMHO this comparison test is pretty pointless. Different cars for different people.

Btw pretty good accel time for R8. Better than recent super test
I saw the new R8 Plus for the first time this week. Although, it was in my least favourite colour, red, I loved the design especially the new sculpture of the side (doors and blades). The car looks so good in real life. It also looks compact which is another plus for me.
My wife liked it too but when I asked if it could be chosen over a 911 and she said a definite NO

My wife thinks the same. In fact her favourite sportscar is 991. Closely followed by 981 Cayman (not Boxster). I find that pretty interesting since most women prefer open top sportscars.

And then you ordered one.
We're at the point where you can be the fastest or just sound like you're the fastest.
