Summer/Track tires in the Cold Weather & Mountains?
Hi - I am picking up my GT4 with its OEM track tires (either PSC2's or Dunlop equivalent). I know these tires are to be used very carefully in bad weather and I know you should not store these tires in low temperatures (not good for the rubber's performance, even if used again when warm).
My question is: Will it harm the tires' performance if I drive these tires into mountain passes and stay overnight in cold temperatures (about 0C to 5C)?
I am not asking about how scary or dangerous it might be to drive with these tires in the mountains (well aware of these risks) - just wondering if it may harm their performance when I return down the mountain and have track days after exposure to cold temps (warm days at the track after cold exposure for a few days in the mountains)?
Thanks!
