Strange as it may seem, it's entirely possible that many of these American adults have not heard anything about Dieselgate (as it has quaintly been dubbed by the American press, beating out VWgate). On the other hand, perhaps it says more about Chrysler and GM than VW.

They should have done a survey on whether VW is more popular than the EPA.
The result might answer your implied question.

So, USA Today views Porsche as an ultra-luxury brand, not a sports car brand?

Can't blame them, Cayenne, Macan, Panamera are not by definition sports cars no matter how fast you make them.

Do they still print it? I only see it in Google News results.
We do still print USA Today. Quite a lot in fact. Yes print is a declining source of revenue for us but that is where digital takes over. There are almost 90 local newspapers that are part of Gannett's business. USA Today is one of them and provides national and international news to the local papers. All of the local sites have web and native mobile applications. There's more than just the free newspaper we all get at hotels.

I could and I probably should. I would wager this ultra-luxary brand statement is based on types of Porsche's seen in the garage . Most of them are Panamera, Cayenne and Macan. I have only seen three sports cars. One Boxster S and two 997's, one of which is mine.

I wonder if that could result in criminal charges, if it's proven that senior management authorized it..
