    Boxster  / Cayman GTS has basically same laptime around HHR.  Weight is disappointing, but all things considered, I think performance is very good for your $55k sedan.

    No argument, but I bet the GTS is far more fun to drive.  I also bet the new base 2.0L 718 Boxster/Cayman can run with that laptime for about same money as M2...

    How much does the M2 cost once you add the normal options?

    It's $52k to start.  Tested car had auto gearbox which probably costs a few grand...

    Not many other options to buy (no carbon brakes, for instance)...

    The focus is always going to have an advantage on a tight short circuit like this where power is less important. AWD is where it's at! Also I believe focus was running Cup2s whereas M2 was running MPSS. Regardless, both fantastic cars and if I had the space I would buy both!

    Saw the new M2 in Munich yesterday...WOW...this car has street presence, it looks really wide and mean. For this (low) price, I am sure BMW will sell tons of these...

    It offers quite a lot for the money and for young(er) drivers, the M2 may be a better choice than the M4.

    Still not a fan of the car for various reasons but if I were interested to get a sports car in this price range, the M2 would certainly be my number one.

    Saw two M2 on the road again here in Bavaria, they really have a lot of street presence, you recognize them pretty fast.

    I love this car more everytime i see one. The 135M is also doing really well in the value market and they are hard to get. These little cars may be the spiritual kids of the e30s :)
