with all this talk about more gt3 rs's being produced I think I will take delivery of my car and pay for it, and sell it from now for that little premium to my friend before he gets his allocation lol, I can't use it either way so I might as well. I read the sales contract and it says nothing about having to register the car in my name, but it is very clear about the contract not being transferable....
RC:Lars997:@LP997.... you seriously want to put those stovepipes onto your car? This things are huge! Also - isn't the GT3 RS not already sounding phenomenal?
For some people it isn't just enough to scare people on the sidewalk and provoke middle fingers from them. Some people need to give those people on the sidewalk a heart attack, so they cannot show them the middle finger anymore.

My GT4 is even louder...
@LP997 Go for it

Ok...now let the mods begun...
But i was wondering...is not better to put on a bypass and take off the two left and right side silencers to take off more weight?
Sorry,i not followed exhaust mods on older GT3 so i have no experience on what is better to do(sound/performance)
I read also that taking off the side ones there is the problem to loss torque due there is less backpressure...
Maybe better to open a new thread?

Hi Darius ;)
I speak with James the owner of GMG and side muffler delete depending if you use you car more than track or street driving.
With the side muffler bypass you loose torque in the low rpm but you win at highter rpm depending on our usage (track or more street driving) the big advantage is you loose some weight ( 20kg)
James say me with side muffler bypass the central exhaust on hard use crack...
The central bypass for James is the best solution you not loose power and you have the sport buton function. No gain claims but he say me drive it and smile
I go just for the centrale exhaust for the sound in first and for save my TI muffler ( on my 997 rs my muffler crack on track use after 20000 km...)

Ah,Laurent
Another question, when we push the sport button, what change on the exhaust system?whant to tell,i think the valves excluded the side silencers..is right?if not..what the valves exclude to have more sound?

You have the same function like the standard exhaust just more sound. you replace TI rs muffler by GMG pipe same function but you win in sound and i think a little power.
See video below for understand. you heard when sport buton is activate ;)

There is a valve that opens a shortcut so the exhausts takes a shorter way thru the exhaust system. This takes place in the side mufflers. So when removing side mufflers you also removes this function.
There is an interesting thread at Rennlist: Building a GPS based controlled exhaust system:

I removed the first photo with the car because I wasn't sure if this was your car (I suppose not but you never know) and Porsche could easily identify it by the production code sticker. Porsche has a list of cars with warranty exclusions, you should really be careful with the photos you post.
