apias:watt:When Sky had his last pig ear, and a very bad week, we thought he was ready to return.
But, he bounced back with Thyroid and acupuncture and love.... The Last Pig Ear has happened, but he's rolling on with beef bones
Good to hear, may he keep on rolling for a long time to come.
BTW, have you thought of sneaking out and moving the stick, say, 10 yards further on each night? Although, he may be too smart to be fooled by such a simple trick.
Haha,
The stick is a human concept. I moved it a few feet today, but Sky got his regular stick spot and sat down; not fallin' for that. He knows his limitations!!!

Well, at least he had a good laugh about it. You can see he's thinking, "Very funny Watt, but I'm not falling for the old 'move the stick' trick."
Gnil:What a good life !
Good life? Amazing life! I wonder if Watt would adopt my kids (or me for that matter).
Kidding aside, wonderful photos and stories. I love this thread.

Your kids, maybe, but then he'd have them wading through mud-holes and climbing straight into the car. You wouldn't know them in 6 months.

Haha,
Sky invites all adventurous children into the water!! Wet and muddy is fun, and Daddy, rather than pouting, has everyone jump in the car and party dirty!! The only way to live
apias:Did you move it back? Or is he actually going further?
I put it back in its classical, traditional spot, selected with great care [by winging it few months back]! Note Bene: he's cheating by a few feet just to f.k with me
He's getting psyched up for his next run up to Stanford to see his boy!!!! Rollin' on the floor with glee -- your children can join him any time

Ha, ha. That will teach you.
watt:The beach bunny is the same colour as the sand!
Watt, are you familiar with Paul Kalkbrenner? He and his brother Fritz made a song a while ago called... wait for it...
Sky and Sand! Wiley will probably know it, but for the rest: https://youtu.be/8ybFb_wKlvQ

"Sky and Sand" ties together 27 years of Labradors: Our first two were Surf and Sand, brother and sister, yellow and black. Sand was called San San or Sandy and had an incredible vocabulary for a dog: one could say: "Sandy, go down in the front yard and get the screwdriver", and she would do it.
No electronic pix of Sand, but here she is with Wiley in one of our favourites burned and broken in the 2007 fire but still on the wall
Thanks!
Enmanuel:This thread makes me both happy and sad at the same time. Sky has had such a happy life but the comment about it being his last goodbye broke my heart.
Same here...sometimes I don't want to continue reading it but then, I just want to...

Haha, thanks all due to Sky for taking notes and driving the traffico intenso sections
Sky's comments on freeway running in CA rather than NV,UT, WY, etc...:
'Mericans are famous left lane wankers, just parking permanently in the fast lane. In certain low car density parts of the 101 freeway, 70% of the cars were in the left lane, and few in the right or slow lane. Perhaps partly driven by how sensitive 'Merican butts are to bumpier right lanes, and the divine right of lane ownership 'Merican wankers are born with.
Sky was shocked to find these left lane wankers now include Porsche drivers! In a 3 lane section, the left and center lanes were blocked at 75 in a 70, so we shredded right to go through, and the roadblock was a brand new turbo who had just bought, or more likley leased, the left lane. What a complete wank Sure was shiny though, just like a new Kia.
South bound a new boxster just owned an open freeway at 80, as we ripped by to the right, no thought or intent to move over although given plenty of time. Whilst 120 is really tops in CA freeways [for risk control], so distance loss is not great, it was very depressing to see Porsches wanking it 2 Ferraris [both passed in 1000 miles] were wanking it also, so it's not just a Porsche problem.
997s and older 911's all drove right and moved right over if passing when we ran through
But clearly the brand has grown well beyond the enthusiast base, and PCA will have to begin LEFT LANE WANKER PARADES, so they can trade stories about those terrible Porsche owners who run hard and expect lane discipline.
Pilot:I'm with you watt. Certainly no lack of wankers here in California :( I see it too!!
Yes, I noticed that too while driving in California. Apparently some drivers took over German driving habits.

Haha,
We know the end of civilisation is nigh when Porsches hold up runners
