Best bet for you is to actually take delivery, pay the sales tax, your friend will pay whatever out of your pocket plus whatever premium agreed upon. That takes the dealer out of the equation and their 'obligation' to Porsche.
The dealer might not be happy about not getting a car back to sell to their waiting customer, but then again if you paid for the car already, whatever you do to it is your business. Your friend has to pay the sales tax anyway if he buys the car straight from the dealer. The title transfer fee and the premium he was going to give you is for the privilege to get a car when he might not be able to get one in the first place.

FWIW, at my dealer a 918 owner ordered a RS. Later before delivery he wanted to give it to his son. He asked the dealer whether they would change the order sheet to put the son's name on it. Dealer was willing but PCNA and PAG refused to allow it. Go figure.

Today I finally gave my car a wash and wax..................
I HATE cleaning this car, it's worse than cleaning my 918. But then again the orange does not show dirt at all, so I either keep missing spots or repeat cleaning the places I just did. All those nooks and grills doesn't help with the cleaning speed department.
Found a couple paint deficiency on the car since i went through every square millimetre of it, but they don't really bother me and probably won't get noticed by 99.99% of the people that examine it.

I was talking yesterday again to my source at PAG. She couldn't say it yet - which is weird for itself. Usually she is very quick with giving answers.

I hate cleaning cars, period !!
Darius : I see new stickers on the car . I have seen those on other cars, but at the bottom under the side aire intakes

I like to have the decals like the one are available like an option at Porsche on all the 911,but not on the RS
And they put it there(i took the measurements on a GTS that was at my dealer),3,0cms from the lower part of the door,and 2,5 cms from the end of the front part of the door.
Then i bought as spare parts 2 of the rear model designation that on the RS is a decal,and i put it there,if i don't remember wrong this decal is 2,5cms high,the one on the GTS is high 3,0 cms...but it work the same.
I payd the 2 spare decals like one made of gold 
,but with this kind of decals my Porsche warranty on paint will not stop.
i saw the white RS with decals under the air intake...but i don't like them there.

Actually - I don't have time for but I love it. You can see every little corner and angle of you car.... it is like giving a massage to it 
Nanotech is perfect Darius - I have it on every car (except the vintage which has only Swizöl) With Nanotech you can see a difference and after the rain the car is clean by itself!

mee too,but from when the car was out of my dealer and on the road,i changed idea.
Is just too "hey look at me" without decals...believe me.
