SciFrog:They get the Mercedes GL...
I don't. That 3rd row is pointless, only fits little kids. And if the 3rd row is used, there is almost zero luggage space.
I will take a Escalade ESV please.
One time I was at a Mercedes golf tournament and the Merc guys came to the airport to pick up 7 guys in a GL and a R. Each car has a driver and a Merc rep, on paper everyone 'should fit' or so they think. Ended up with the 2 reps taking a taxi plus some of our luggages. Big black eye to Merc on that occasion. Had they came in a couple Escalades then everyone can travel in comfort.
koko:SciFrog:Nothing beats a driver with a big Escalade to go around town. Fits a lot of people and all the shopping bags...
And the Range Rover doesn't ?
Range Rover at most can seat 5, with a okay amount of luggage. A Escalade ESV can seat 8 in comfort PLUS whatever they want to buy.

The car of choice for shopping in Yorkville is the black RR Sport. The place is littered with them. And don't forget the Starbucks venti soy latte to go along with it.

WAY:Whoopsy:V class is only available in the whole world except USA and Canada.............................
What do hotels etc use then? It's very popular here with hotels and limo services.
Basically the same thing, but it's called the Sprinter in NA:

Ah ok. But a sprinter is a different size car and no where near as luxurious as a V250. V250 is a 6-8 seater but ideal configuration is 7 seater with middle row captain seats.

Blacked-out Suburbans seem to be pretty popular for this purpose. You seem them everywhere, especially during the film festival. Most hotels use Sprinters or mini-buses to shuttle people to the airports and such though.

Sprinter is one size bigger. Mac is suppose to bring in the current V-class, and renamed it the Metris later this year. I am already waiting for it to see if it's capable of replacement my Odyssey.

koko:Whoopsy:koko:SciFrog:Around here it is no more than a nice soccer mom car for the ones who want to outclass the escalade ESV crowd...
Isn't the Range Rover a cheaper and more practical option for them?
The Range Rover by Tata is too pedestrian.
Still light years better than the Escalade.
The new Escalade is nice to drive, had one for almost 3 weeks during our trip through California, Nevada, Utah and Arizona. Over 2500 miles without a single issue, car is very comfy and powerful. Even fully loaded (five Samsonite suitcases and couple of other stuff), the car felt the same. New digital speedo very nice. Seats amazingly good, we never felt tired when we got out of the car after usually driving 200-300 miles per day on average.
