Joost:Not in the Netherlands... is it any interesting?
Nah, you are not missing out on much... Probably the most predictable product launch ever The 991.2 Carrera S has a turbo-charged high-rev Metzger engine with PDK-S Plus, PSE Plus (straight pipes without valves) and a chassis made of carbon fibre. It is pretty much what we predicted.

Install this chrome extension and change your country to Germany. Worked for me.
Personally I love the new 911, especially what they have done to the back.
Top job.

Meh. The front looks cleaned up without the DRL 'moustaches' but I'm not feeling the rear lights. The clear strip in the middle isn't doing it any favors and it looks somewhat more cartoon-ish... Like out of a Japanese anime.
Unrelated: SportCarGroup, what's with those numbers at the end of your posts?

Whoopsy:The 3D tail lights is the new design language from the 918, Macan was the 1st to gets it, now the 911 range, next up with be the Panamera and then the Cayenne.
Oh I know... I just think they look strangely implemented in this case. Perhaps they'd look better if they were all red rather than having the red 'leaking' off into the body.

Their way of up-selling you the dark-tinted rear taillights

The 5% price increase seems a little too much to me. Especially given China demand is probably getting v soft and the rest of the world would probably follow in getting a cold from their problems.

Now we know why they adopted the odd vertical " BBQ grill " engine cover that makes the rear haunches look narrower ...they were not chosen as a retro design element , but by air mgmtvrequirements as the video shows they direct intake air flow to the new bi-turbo engines . Having said that, they are still ugly !
That means the 991.2 " Turbo " models may still retain the visually width-enhancing horizontal engine cover slats , since their bi-turbo motors are fed by their iconic side scoops .
keithos27:Finally Apple CarPlay!
Smart move by the auto industry...get out of the money and manpower draining OEM infotainment engineering biz and just present a standardized platform for both Android and Apple based devices like this . Their systems are always outdated by introduction because the field moves at Silicon Valley speed , not Stuttgart or Wolfsburg speed.
They can once again just focus on building better cars and their JD Power overall satisfaction scores will improve too, as the premium car brands the last 15 yrs had more and more techy stuff that just frustrated owners and ironically lowered their scores vs some much cheaper " low tech " cars.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

Sportscargroup, thanks so much for taking the effort to make screenshots!
In the eman time, I have been able to see the movie as well (first via hola vpn, thanks for the hint, later turned out that I had flash disabled in my browser :p).
Ah, what can I say... carplay and google car seem to be a long desired step forward... as I understood the PCM was in need of a serious update... Engine wise... we'll see! Looks wise; not too bad... I don't like the longitudinal slats in the engine cover too much, neither do I appreciate the looks of the turbo outlet vents.... but overall, not too bad at all.
sfo:I like the new rear grill and the new alloy wheel designs
99% of the public won't spot the difference, it's so minor
since the 911's silhouette, peaked front fenders ending in headlights, ovoid coupe rear side window shape and vented engine cover are all set in stone forever, 99% of the public won't spot the difference between a 1966 and a 2016 "porsh "

3D lights are just a bad design fad that can't go away too soon.
