Hopefully they'll have that check-engine light issue sorted out for your car.

This view reflects exactly the feeling I had after visiting their workshop. The attention for detail and the passion is something to behold, kind of reminded me of the workshop at Pagani. You're in for a treat Crayphile!

"As well", so you've decided upon pale green? Smiley Smiley

Brilliant car that Manchester Singer. I imagine brownish leather buckets in that car and a stitched welded-in roll cage and you have my perfect car.

Not decided yet  - but this colour range was on my shortlist as you know. My car will be named London - what does everyone think the colour for that name should be - red Smiley - or stick with the original "pastelly" plan?

Re: Donor vehicle for Singer Vehicle Design

I'll repeat my initial vote for a darker, or bight blue, not pastel. Even better with the London moniker, royal blue befits it.

Re: Donor vehicle for Singer Vehicle Design

Aga Blue for London would be fitting...

Re: Donor vehicle for Singer Vehicle Design

@Enmanuel, & @Mithras - ver interesting response - I thought people would associate London with red  - buses, post boxes, telephone booths etc

Re: Donor vehicle for Singer Vehicle Design

I have decided to go for a Singer red colour after a lot of comparisons of the options. Too many green cars have been done now and I  (and they) wanted something unique, and also to go with the London theme. It's a Singer inspired solid colour  - not as dark and "maroony" as Ruby red and not as bright and "orangey" as say Indian/Guards Red. The colour will look bright in sunlight and deeper in darker light ( which is most of the time in the UK ). The default interior for a red exterior Porsche would be black, but this is not special enough for a Singer so we are coming up with something unique that will be probably be tan whilst bringing some of the red into the interior whilst being conscious of not echoing any Ferrari. The tan will give some retro feel, but we are working on sone Singer inspired interior patterns to make this a unique car. Here is an interior light sample - but its hard to capture the real nuances of the colour in different lights

Oh no. Red and tan, that's my colors angry

Re: Donor vehicle for Singer Vehicle Design

Historically red exteriors often had a pale cream, light dove grey or red interiors. Red on red can look stunning and while I don't usually like grey leather, the right one with a red exterior can look stunning as well. One thing that looks period is obviously a tartan or houndstooth inlays in the seats. There are places (if interested I can forward) that will do bespoke tartan weavings. A light dove grey with a tartan seat inlay that uses the exact same shade of grey on the field and incorporates the exact same shade of red as the exterior in the tartan would be quite interesting. Doing a basketweave carpet with the exterior red as one part of the weave would be interesting as well (though not in conjunction with a houndstooth or tartan, too busy...)

You could also do a quilted leather roof using the exterior colour in the stitching and use the same in the engine and trunk.

Nice!  It doesn't appear to be too far from Carmine Red (on my monitor) - my choice for my new GT4...

Mithras  - Thanks as always for your input Smiley We will be doing something with the weave - something unique that has not been done on a Singer before hopefully - I think that's where the red can be  introduced in to the interior without overpowering it . Tartan or houndstooth  is a bit too much for me (see the Manchester car for instance).
