Good Route between Stuttgart and Nurburg?
Hi - I originally considered a large loop for the 4 days and 3 nights between factory delivery of my GT4 and Scuderia 7 at the Ring. I currently have reservations in Dresden, Berlin, and Hanover.
But I am now thinking that is a bad plan, since I will be collecting my car in the afternoon after a factory tour and lunch and it seems that the amount of driving is a bit ambitious (i.e. 5 hours the afternoon/evening of the first day while still jet-lagged, sitting in LWB's, braking-in the car on the autobahn not great, etc.).
So, I am now considering canceling those plans for the first 3 nights and instead going to Baden-Baden first night (short drive and will choose side roads where I can more easily drive at a proper pace and vary revs and speed as desired). Second night maybe in Frankfurt, Bad Homburg, Heidelberg, Trier, or Open to any other suggestions?
Third night maybe in Cologne (short drive to the Ring the next day)?
If anyone has ideas for these or other nice destinations (including hotels, restaurants, roads, etc.) in the general region, I would love to hear them!

You simply need take into account a bit more time than the GPS will suggest when you start your journey...
