olli:
...could not say hello
No worries, Olli, during the autograph session, a Young guy asked me to sign the Pilot card: For Rennteam! I can't remember his Pseudo though.
Car Wise, it was like porn this weekend, there was a Keonigsegg one:1, owned by one of the Aston bosses, impressive built quality, not sure about the looks, the door mechanism is awesome. Plenty of GT3RS everywhere, the orange looks much better in sunlight, there was a grey one which looked very dull. Violet is ok, not flashy enough for an RS for me.
A quick easy tip for RS owners to get more downforce and even less understeer, remove the mesh under the grills on the front wings. You can also add flicks derived from downforce package of the Cup car, but you need connections at Motorsport department to order them.
This car is a weapon. Even I admit, that during my north loop lap in the RS 4.0, I was losing too much time shifting and because I'm less and less used to it, my heel and toe wasn't always a perfect match to the lower gear. All pilots who have tried both cars though confirm that the Metzger unit is much better, it's a race car engine and it feels it. The drive back to Paris was horrible, I had forgotten how loud the car was.
The consensus is that the RS 4.0 is a civilised 997 Cup, and the 991 RS is a super 991 GT3 which makes sense, considering the 991 Cup uses the Metzger unit and narrower body than the 991 RS. Still a fantastic machine. But not a true raw RS for purist.
