LaFerraris are all gone by now. Maybe u should gun for a used a one.

On paper. Still a lot of the allocations to be produced. And a lot of the Chinese customers are afraid to take delivery. They would rather lose their deposit than losing their life.

The anti-graft campaign in China is in full swing and just about everyone is afraid to stand out.

I was told there are quite few 918s abandoned at dealerships there as the buyers are not willing to take delivery because of fear for their lives.

I would never pay above MSRP for a car, well maybe I might if I go crazy like Futch and get a F1. But that would be the only car that I am willing to.

As far as I know, my dealer's only LaFerrari for the other customer is still in the queue, and can still be changed to my name if they wanted to. They REALLY REALLY want to sell me that but not yet willing to alienate the other customer yet.

True about the 918. Was offered a brand new one in silver.

Not sure about Canada but I know it's not easy importing Non us spec Ferraris in America. Although LeFerrari is totally worth the trouble.

    ...

As for me getting one, it all depends on if I can have a LaFerrari. ....

Is there still hope? Are there still some cars available and not delivered. I thought they are in the final build stage already?

ROW cars are easily tradable between countries, as long as it's not a RHD LHD thing. But US/Canada cars vs ROW cars area  different story. Heck even US cars/Canadian cars, within the North American market, are a lot of hassle.

    There are still hope(s).

1, Ferrari isn't gonna stop at 499, we know that from Ferrari's track record that they will make more 'post production cars' after the fact to satisfy selected customers.

2, See my original post, some of the allocations are still in queue, and having been build yet, unlike the 918 where the whole production cycle is finished. So re-allocation is still possible.

Turkey got the 3rd allocation of LaF for a special customer.

I'm sure they are still producing the car because the main vendor is waiting for the 4th allocation.

My friend was at the private viewing last week. I too will not spoil the reveal, but the figures are quite amazing. Especially in the aero department!

I'm not sure about the looks either. It does look very wild and over the top compared from the GTO to the 599. It has very little F12 DNA left aesthetically. I also really, really dislike those wheels Smiley

I'm sure it will still be a spectactular car to drive.

Sending my spec in at the end of the month. Any suggestions?

Carbon is a major feature of the car so something that contrasts with it was a thought I had - Bianco Italia or Fuji perhaps? I think the Grigios and Blues which fit the front engined V12s so well historically do not fit the ethos of this car which you rightly say is wild. Hence be brave! You need them to darken the wheels whichever main colour you opt for. If you go red it needs to be a triple layer one like Rosso Fuoco or Novo Rosso F1 or even Mugello.

Good points. I'm leaning towards a shade of blue though. Not sure how it will look on this car as you've mentioned. Will try and postpone until the last minute. Hopefully there will be some proper real images to help one decide better.

A dark or medium shade of blue in a metallic color could balance out the carbon bits and new details while still showing off the curves of the body. Now that would be a very special Ferrari. I vote for this. Smiley

No, they've replaced the g-string with a barbell (dark bar connecting circular tail lights).

That rear fender reminds me of the 250 TR pontoons. If I squint and ignore literally every other aspect of this car.

I think I out did myself. I just found out that Sergio, yes THAT Sergio Marchionne, used to work for one of the founding members of my track club when he was at Toronto and they still kept in contact. Smiley

Re: Ferrari F12 Berlinetta / 599 GTO Successor

Great connection.... go and use it. Everyone else would do that, too!

And at the end - let me know when we should take over that F-dealership in Vancity. I'm in to run it - you can play the owner.... but we might need that connection of yours to help getting it smiley

Re: Ferrari F12 Berlinetta / 599 GTO Successor

The F12 is perfect like it is, this one is overdone, at least from these pics, even the black line connecting the two rear tail lights is definitely a no go design wise let alone the "forced" rear vents!

Re: Ferrari F12 Berlinetta / 599 GTO Successor

To me it sounds like a modern Ferrari - I never could tell you the difference if 458 or F12 ... yes I know we are talking about 4 more cylinders... but anyway!

Re: Ferrari F12 Berlinetta / 599 GTO Successor

I would argue that the difference in sound between the 458 (Speciale included) and an F12 is night and day.

The V12 sounds very musical and has a  "rich"/complex sound. The 458, to my ears, simply makes noise. Very subjective of course.

However, judging from the video, this new F12 version does not sound very different from a normal F12. Nothing like the difference between the the 599 GTO and 599 GTB in terms of sound.

Lars997 - can't believe you said that- I am pretty sure you could easily tell the difference. The Ferrari V12 sound is a spine tingling motoring Nirvana.

That's because you haven't heard it yet. I just heard the sound track on the reveal video and it's clearly more "raspy" and aggressive. However, let's reserve judgement till we hear it for real.

I'm talking about that video.... sorry for missunderstanding. On that video I can't hear any difference (might be on my notebook speakers, have to try it at home on my desktopTHX system). In real - certainly I do!

And RWS like the 991 GT3. Saw it. Not convinced. They're making over 700 cars. It's a lot.
