Joost:Hm... seems like the rear lights will not be as deep as the macan lights after all... :-(
The tail lights are still camouflaged.

Lars997:Actually - the black vent grill looks great! Good to have it back!
Because from that distance , you dont see the many slim busy vertical " backyard grill " strakes ....their black out color is OK by me, like on current GTS , but I woulda preferred horizontal strakes to widen the car visually by pointing towards the car's fender flares

does this white car show optional smoked tail lights or is it just the shadow effect of pointing straight up in the air
these 20 in wheels look like they are the successor to the Carrera Classic style spoke pattern ......painted silver instead of polished/ grey finish of current CC wheel

watt:Please Porsche, make the next turbo without a fixed wing on the tail!!! Say good bye to that ugliness
That is part of their tradition, and Porsche is known for keeping traditional markings on their cars (no matter is it ugly or not).

It's gonna be a hot new 911, this facelift. I love the design and planted stance... it's almost a GT3 look on the base Carrera!

The problem is, the V6 will never sound good with or without a turbo.
I want one of these with a Porsche V6/Turbo if the price is right, a V8 is always desirable, but they're too stingy to build a V8/Turbo that will rev up to 8,000+

The tail lights are still camouflaged (there is some sort of foil covering them) but to my knowledge, they will be slightly darker than the current ones and there was also a rumor of blackened ones, apparently Porsche has found a possibility to make it happen without compromising the necessary light emission. So I'm not sure if the tail lights in this photo are the standard ones or the blackened ones.

Don't get the hype, it's a facelift nothing more, nothing less. The question mark for me is the engine.
After the introduction it will be an interesting time to pick up a used 991.1. Well at least that is my plan..

Hmm... I hope for you that the prices will drop, but with the new engines being turbocharged, I wouldn't be too sure that they will drop quickly and/or dramatically...
reginos:The old Porsche maxim since the beginning of the marque will also hold true this time: "The best Porsche is the latest Porsche"
Unless, someone is a romantic or a collector.
+1
The 991.1 Carrera will not keep it value any more than previous models. There are faaaar to many built and most people will not mind turbo charging anyway. I bet many future owners in the target group actually prefer the benefits with turbo charging. This forum does not represent that group We are an outlier irrelevant to overall sales.

I was discussing upcoming turbo-charged 991.2 models with some of my friends and mostly they were pleased Porsche made that step because 911 sounds nothing special and they lack power anyways So I must agree with previous comments, ordinary people will be excited with turbocharged 911`s!

I think, at least in my (banker) neighborhood, they do...plain black exterior / interior, coupe and / or convertibles, preferably "4S" (as these are "more" whatever vs. the ordinary "S"...), presumably never driven about 200 km/h ... (did I already tell, that is hot in my office today...) ....
I don't think they will drop dramatically at all. But there will be a bigger selection to pick from. Because a lot of people want the newest Porsche especially here in Zürich. I'm more than happy with an old 991 as a second Porsche.

I don't see anywhere near as many 991 as I did 997 at this point in the cycle. (In the UK)
I don't doubt people may be tempted to trade - personally, I'm sticking with what I have for the time being (partly because I couldn't sell it with it's "fault" as it stands!)
