Rennteam meet, DIJON track day 18th october

We still have no specific section to post track days ...... Not sure I am in the best section, but where else ? On the OT with the politics Smiley

It looks like there will be a few Rennteamers attending a track event in DIJON ( old F1 track ) on the 18 th of October .

Hotel we are suggesting , close to the track , simple but confortable : http://www.labonbonnierehotel.fr/

We could all have a dinner Saturday evening together in Dijon .

Well, it sounds like at least 4 of us for dinner on Saturday (5 assuming Grant joins). Dijon has some good restaurants so should go somewhere nice. It'll make a change to stay there on a day when the restaurants are open indecision

Come on the Saturday, leave on the Sunday . You can easily leave the track at around 16h .

Come on the Saturday, leave on the Sunday . You can easily leave the track at around 16h .

My wife works on that Sunday (9 am to 9 pm), I would need to be home on that Sunday latest 1 pm (kids are alone). Not easy, considering the 630 km drive, most of it on speed limited roads. I see what I can do to join you guys on Saturday. Smiley

Got some info on the Dijon track days on the 15 &16 October:

Our Track days are open pit lane.
09.00-09-15 Introduction rounds
9.15 - 12.00 Free Driving
13.30 -17.30 Free Driving
No rules for passing other cars. Track Day.
We are using the hole track. No Instructors.
You can also drive with Slick tyres.
You have to wear a helmet.
45 cars is the maximum per day.

If you need more Information let us know.

I am currently on holidays and will be back in 10 days.

I am still debating with my wife if we go to Florida in October or not. Chances are greater we will not go.

Then I would come to the Dijon track day on the 18th and join for sure for the 16th ( my birthday ) and maybe the 15th.

I ll let you know as soon as I can .... But probably will be at both events.

Well, both the GF and I have just turned 50 (she is one day older) and this whole trip (including the car) is a birthday celebration. So, it is possible to make aging fun if you're willing to be financially irresponsible enough Smiley
