I would have expected that the Audi is even faster than the GTS. It has higher capacity, higher torque, more HP.

If you look at it this way... Smiley

Regarding top-speed. sure - this is where the Turbo has its extreme power. But hey.... 280 is great! I guess you have to swallow this bad cherry - other than that it seems you have insane fun with this baby :)

I do not care about the top speed of the GTS since I barely drive on the Autobahn. Last weekend was an exception because I had to pick up my wife from a medical education training and she wanted to drive to Lake Starnberg with the roof open. So I drove to pick her up with the top closed and with an open top after I picked her up. Usually, I use the Shelby or a family car for Autobahn driving.

Hehe... it is very funny to read how much you changed your garage set up.

I always liked the 911 convertible out of that reason. And I never been a fan of the Turbos.... yes, lookwise I am but the power is just to brutal and I guess less in harmony with a convertible than the NA cars. Also.... the NA has more sports car feel - turns higher, sounds different.

I'm happy to read that you love that car. It is really an amazing peace of craftsmanship.... guess sooner or later I have to get one again, too. smiley

Smiley I love the C4 GTS Cab but this is no Autobahn car (for Germany, with no speed limit). I would also recommend to ANY 991 Carrera driver to order PDCC because it makes the car feel like a go-kart but I know that many are afraid of some sort of synthetic drive feel, which just isn't there (it may have been there when PDCC was introduced).

So PDCC is a must for those who love curvy roads but to each his own I guess.

regarding PDCC... All my three 7 BMW, and our Range Rover had the chassis control. I know it is a bit different towards the Porsche - but the effect was amazing. The cars felt like 500kg lighter and least one meter shorter. Especially in the 7 where it also had the integral - 4 wheel steering. My 991 didn't have it but if I would buy one again this would be a must have option.

Smiley I was very skeptical but my previous 991 Turbo S actually convinced me. There is no synthetic feel and the car feels like a go-kart, while maintaining quite an impressive comfort level on very bad roads. I know that people are opposed to these kinds of electronic helpers but trust me, PDCC is worth every cent in the 991.

That C4 GTS has 90 hp (26%) more than the Cayman GTS, so the 1.3% laptime advantage is not that impressive.

Didn't know a red could look that good, also all the black elements and lack of shiny metallic color bits the GTS has makes it look even better, I'm so relieved about the color choice since going red for me was a leap of faith! Smiley

Congrats !! It's a bit rare these days seeing red porsches but yours looks great. Yes even the black wheels look better indecision

BTW been seeing a white GTS around town lately, wow the wide body looks great from the rear and the sound, so good.

Carmine red is just gorgeous, I saw a Boxster GTS in that color at the dealer and was amazed. You just have to be comfortable with not blending in as much as the typical neutral colors. That said, it's still very classy.

I am very happy for you Carlos . Congratulations ! Your car is THE Carrera to have in the 991 series, color included .

My mind is playing with all sorts of possible combinations to try to replace my Carrera with the GTS that sits at my dealer , as I think I could have a good price . Still ...... there is already the RS coming so that would be a bit much . And the GTS at my dealer is a 4 ( I could live with that on the 991 model as you can not feel the weight of the AWD anymore ) , but the car has also PDK ...... and I want now manual again , which could on the other hand make it unsellable they day I want to get rid f it .
