Joost:I recon this is some sort of testbed, right?
Does a Singer equipped with this engine need additional air inlets like this in the rear fenders?
Yes, it will be integrated through the rear windows, fabulous stuff.

If I was forced to spend $1MM on something extreme without regard to value, this engine would be on the short list

Yeah, I thought so as well, but the testcar in the movie has both (the ones in the fender and the ones in the rear window). I remembered those pictures and the extremely elegant solution of integrating the inlets in the rear windows, so I was surprised to see the ugly fender cut-outs. Maybe these are remnants of earlier tests when the window versions were not available yet?
Porsche, separates Le Mans from Le Boys

That was a replica of a 74 RSR (those vents were standard then and its just a tribute to that model)

It’s not just the engine it’s chassis, gear box , body, and brakes etc that are changed /upgraded. It’s a new model.

This belongs to a UK car dealer who banged on about how this is the ultimate vehicle and quell surprise he is selling it . I prefer the red one below anyway
crayphile:I prefer the red one below anyway
That red one is a true connoisseur’s car.
What is the reason for the choice of red , by the way? Any personal or a historic Porsche reference that I fail to see?
Midnight blue does look good on the car but makes the car a bit too serene looking for my taste.

I know, it's that Edward Lovett no? Just a speculator obviously. Prefer the red one too, never thought I'd say that.

the car has just over 5k miles, so it has been driven
For about one month... 5k is nothing?

I went in that direction because of the name "London". Long bus, post box, telephone box .. you get my drift. I'm not a fan of Guards Red so went for a Singer one which was darker and more complex. Ironically its called "Rome Red" !

Stunning. This is the only car that I could dream about owning. I love these classic solid colors and bold interiors. If only heir prices had stayed reasonable... Oh well, can’t do it all, my wife and I are funding this pretty large charity project instead
