1) Standard wheels look really good, especially in grigio.
2) With a bit of imagination the white one with the black roof gives you a good impression of what the GTS will look like.

wurlie:Friends, just to make sure - make no mistake, 488GTB is an awesome and amazing car. Supremely capable. I feel a bit anachronistic for my taste, but it is only a matter of taste in the end, to choose a Speciale. That is why I said - all those on the fence, please spend some money to get to know the cars you are choosing between. In the grand scheme of things, as a % of the purchase price, travel to a friendly dealer will be marginal.
All these second hand reports, if anyhting, pull you away from the decision that is right for you, personally.
If I ever had any criticism of this fantastic board, it is the prevalence of the second hand opinion - direct personal experience is valuable, and can be debated. Everything else, opinions on journalists' views or friends' experiences is just noise.
And one more thing - just to state the obvious - 488GTB and a GT3 RS 4.0 should not be in the same sentence. Chalk and cheese, both great in their own ways. Not that anybody asked, just to be comprehensive in reporting.
Best, w
Yes and no, depends on the friends. I know someone who drove the 488GTB and he is in car development (and not working for Ferrari). He loves the 488GTB but also kind of sees a little bit the 991 Turbo S "effect" for this car. Only difference: Ferrari did it right from the beginning, they gave this car such a performance/power advantage over the "old" one, so customers would have little to complain...when they hear the new exhaust sound.

KresoF1:488 GTB with front licence plate holder. Btw, if you order front camera you CAN NOT have front licence plate.
Exactly. Front camera sits right beneath the front plate, but who needs a FRONT camera anyway?
One more thing: Opposite to the 458 and the Speciale, where I always found the front number plate really disturbing, IMO at the 488 the front plate improves the look of the front. Those two pseudo-F1-like partitions look less silly with a front plate and there no longer is a silly horse on a silly stack to get in the way of the license plate.

koko:Why should one worries about a car that he doesn't like.
Oh, I expressed my dislike for 488 GTB? Here on rennteam?!
Well, my opinion about 488 GTB is actually very, very positive.
I only wrote here that I would get low option car and got agreed with that opinion by some other members here.
koko:I thought you didn't like it that why I found strange u worrying about the plates. Are you planing to get one soon? What color?
Was thinking about getting one. But, local dealer is pretty bad. So, I skipped the idea for now...
Regarding specs I would choose rather conservative options. Argento Nürburgring exterior, Blu Medio/Nero interior with Grigio Chiaro stitching. Racing seats M (Gold rake), PEXS, navi, standard wheel in Grigio Corsa, parking sensors and some minor stuff. No CF for exterior or interior. Price would be around 225K € German wise.
