12C are nearly 5 years old. What do you expect? They were at $200K after 1 year, then at $150-160K after another 3.5 years. They slowed way down in depreciation over the last 3-4 years.

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

Gee.... people here talks about the price of the car soo much its making me sick...... nobody talks about the performance side of the car....  just on the depreciation values.....  ignore the car's strength, clouded the judgement on buying a McLaren....    again, for those thinks it costs too much will never understands... as they will never buy it....  and this thread will always be keep on talking about the depreciations for another 5 years I suppose..... such a pitty

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

I disagree - actually a lot of People wanna buy the car but just want to figure out when it's the right Moment as is really has some serious depreciation. I would take the Mac over any mid-engined Ferrari or Lambo Hands down kiss

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

I have tested intensively both the 570s and 650s. For me it is the best (for me affordable) car. I like it much more then Lambo or Ferrari.

Regarding the deprecation, yes it is confusing but less then Porsche turbo. If you get one year old car with 25-30% lost value then I think you will not go wrong. The 12c spider prices are going up. I suppose that the 570s will be stable.

Come on.. it's only natural when considering what for most is an extremely expensive purchase.. Whilst it would be nice to be wealthy enough to ignore any financial consequence, that's not a luxury most of us have..

Keep the 991 GT3 - due to the production stop it's actually much less produced than the RS - a Keeper for sure ! kiss

I was thinking the same but many GT3 owners in Germany wanted to get rid of their GT3s for the RS version or the upcoming GT3. Prices may drop once the new GT3 arrives but on a longterm run, I think the 991.1 GT3 could actually become quite valuable.

One more special edition - 675 lt with much more carbon. Somewhere 40% less aluminium, all exchanged with carbon. I think this are few special cars from MSO and not for official sale. McLaren Munich has one in his showroom. Looks awesome.

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

Features 40 percent more carbon fiber parts than the regular model.

McLaren Special Operations took the wraps off a carbon-clad P1 earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show and now the 675LT Spider is receiving just about the same treatment. It features approximately 40 percent more carbon fiber parts over the regular 675LT Spider, but these new lighter body components can’t be retro-fitted to one of the 500 units of the regular long-tailed, open-top 675. That’s because MSO also had to make other changes for the new limited-run special edition, so the new parts are not compatible with the regular model.

All carbon fiber parts of the standard 675LT Spider have received a glossy finish to better show off the weave of the material. In addition, the electrically-retractable roof and tonneau are now dipped in carbon fiber, just like the A-pillars, side blades, hood, and rear deck. Moreover, McLaren’s MSO division has created bespoke carbon fiber front and rear wings and even a new fuel filler cap which has also received the carbon fiber treatment. To make it even more special, the front wings have received functional louvers in the same vein as the 650S GT3.

Power comes from the same biturbo 3.8-liter V8 engine developing a devilish 666 horsepower (497 kW) and 516 pound-feet (700 newton meters) of torque. It’s enough muscle to enable the MSO Carbon Series LT run to 62 mph (100 kph) in 2.9 seconds and max out at 203 mph (326 kph).

Limited to just 25 units, the MSO Carbon Series LT has already reached sold out status and production is slated to come this fall, with deliveries programmed to kick off before the year’s end. All cars will come as standard with the McLaren Track Telemetry Pack featuring three track cameras to grab all the action.

not, if you are not guilty.

A friend of mine has 12C and on a parking place in front of a warehouse a woman in Ford Focus or Fiesta (I don´t know) hit him. McLaren calculated the repair cost around 50.000 €. He has some carbon parts.

Another Special Edition of the Special Edition - 575 unhappy Campers unless you could trade again the previsously traded coupe for the spyder angryindecision The car Looks supercool but I still don't get their Marketing dept.....milking the cow to obviously in my book. now we have how many limited LT's ? Maybe they should have just made as many LT's as orders allow it since a lot of reviews praise this car over the moon and they have realized this after having set the Initial Batch ?

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

There is always a better car coming. I actually like the way Mc Laren just keeps pumping out new and improved models, why be stuck with model years and facelifts, they just get the car out when the new tech is ready. Can't get a limited edition? Just wait for the next one coming within a year, much better than Ferrari or Porsche "991 R" allocation disaster.

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

As I have understood - McLaren plans to limit in future the amount of produced cars in the super sportscar series. We could say lesson learned or they have got enough money from investors. If they would have produced more 675 lt, maybe I would have one. I think that regular priced 675 lt was very attractive in price.

Producing 25 carbon cars for 25 special customers is the work from MSO - this cars wasn´t on sale they are special cars handmade by a noble manufacturer. On the website of McLaren their is no word about this 25 special cars.

It will be the same song like Ferrari and Porsche.

McLaren ask their special customers who bought the 675LT if they want the 675 Spyder, they traded up then ask them again about the carbon edition and again they traded up. You are dreaming if you think these continuous limited edition cars will be leaking to outside buyers.

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

It's all a matter of scale. When you sell 4,000 cars a year and do a one off 25 car run it's the equivalent of Porsche making 100,000 cars a year and doing a 750 car run. Like the 911R or GT3RS etc... Or Pagani doing a 3 car run.
