The Huracan is an amazing car and with some adjustments, even that annoying understeer can be made go away.
I love the Huracan but due to its exotic look, I will probably never own one. Smiley

    Re: Lamborghini Huracan and variants

The 2016 model year car has a number of revisions including a reduction in the understeer that drew criticism from the press when the car was driven on a track. It also now features cylinder deactivation that shuts down one bank of cylinders when full power is not required so this action alone should redeem the VW group's green credentials smiley

I had a test drive in one on Monday and think I may have had a similar facial expression to the guy in that Supertest photo indecision  I tried out launch control on a damp road and at fairly low ambient temperature and the AWD system just shrugged it off as if the surface was bone dry. I had forgotten just how good a Lamborghini V10 sounds.

    PRESS RELEASE

Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4: Model Year 2016 Product Updates
    Sant'Agata Bolognese, 06 November 2015 –

Following its successful market introduction in 2014 the Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 is now available to order with a number of updates. The new contents focus on efficiency, drivability and luxury and are already available with the 2016 model year.

The price of the Huracán LP 610-4 remains unchanged at 169.500 Euros + tax. As standard, both the Huracán coupé and newly-launched Spyder version include cylinder deactivation to improve engine efficiency; the first time this function is included in a naturally aspirated V10 engine. When full engine capacity is not required, five of the ten cylinders are temporarily deactivated by switching off one cylinder bank. When the driver accelerates, the system switches back instantaneously to ten-cylinder mode, while being virtually impossible to detect by the driver. This feature reduces fuel consumption and CO2 to 283 g/km

A fine-tuning of the electronically controlled 4WD system provides a neutral and even more improved driving behavior, particularly in STRADA mode.

The offer in the color and trim of the Huracán has been significantly enlarged. Interior refinements as standard include leather to door handles and the upper parts of the center console. Air vents are now painted in exclusive matt black.

Lamborghini Ad Personam, the brand's customization program, has also added the availability of interior personalization, as well as exterior options including heritage colors and matt paints. The full Ad Personam program provides for owners wishing to further customize their cars to their unique personal tastes.

The options program has been further extended. New options available include Lamborghini's Sensonum audio system. The system delivers 390Watts RMS, with a ten-channel amplifier and a range of ten loudspeakers in hexagonal-shaped grilles and the exclusive Sensonum badge.

Lamborghini's optional sports exhaust system, which can be specified with a style package for high gloss black tailpipes, is now available in all markets worldwide.

New LED lighting in the engine compartment can be combined with the optional transparent engine bonnet and carbon fiber engine compartment. Cruise Control can be specified, and a travel pack provides additional storage nets front and rear, an additional 12V lighter and cup-holders.

Saw a matte yellow Huracan in Miami over the weekend. It is a really good looking car. Lines are beautiful.

There is a silver (sort of...) Huracan at the Aventura Mall on display (well, it was there early November) and I kind of have the feeling that this car looks good in any color. Smiley

    Re: Lamborghini Huracan and variants

It's not my car though I did seriously consider it. I did have an enjoyable test drive in it though kiss

The matt yellow looks superb on the car and this one had matt protection film that was virtually invisible on it. This car, although brand new, is a 2015 model year car. I have a matt finish on my Alfa 4C so decided to have the Huracan in a normal gloss finish.

I have bought a 2016 model year car in Giallo Midas which is the three layer pearl yellow metallic. I hope to collect it next week and will post pics when I do but in the meantime here it is facing out of the showroom with another matt yellow car alongside. It was a tough choice but the 2016 changes are very worthwhile upgrades so that helped the decision.

Congrats Iain ! The huracan if easily my favorite car on the market at the moment. That matte yellow looks great, and im not even a huge fan of yellow but the huracan makes any paint work.

    Re: Lamborghini Huracan and variants

ISUK: if your brake callipers are yellow, will they match the paintwork?

    Re: Lamborghini Huracan and variants

They are a pretty close match, yes. This is my car so judge for yourself.  Lamborghini seem much better at choosing calliper colours that match body colours than other manufacturers. It is currently fitted with the optional Mimas wheels in gloss black which I personally don't like. I'm having them swapped for the satin Matt Titanium Giano wheels shown on the matt yellow car above which are a design based on the orignal Miura wheels and look much more like a Lamborghini wheel should IMHO. The Mimas wheels look like they came of an R8 or RS model Audi.

    Re: Lamborghini Huracan and variants

Here is the Matt Titanium Giano rim in more detail and you can see the yellow calliper against the Giallo Horus paint. Giallo Midas is fractionally paler but you need the cars to be side by side to really notice the difference which is a result of the way the three layer colour reflects light.

    Re: Lamborghini Huracan and variants

Congratulations !Smiley Great choice on the wheels too Smiley - I think they work much better on the car than "upgraded" ones.

    Re: Lamborghini Huracan and variants

Louvered engine cover?  It's a bit hard to see in the photographs of your stunning car, but it looks as if it may be the louvered cover.  My office is literally a couple of blocks away from the local Lamborghini dealership and I have yet to see a Huracan with the louvered cover; all are glass covers.  Personally, the concept of the louvered cover harks back the Miura days and would be my choice too.

    Re: Lamborghini Huracan and variants

My car has the glass cover. The dealer spec'ed it and says it is much better for a resale point of view. The matt yellow car at the other dealership has the louvered rear deck which I agree is more reminiscent of the Miura and was my preferred style but as my car has the gloss black style package the gloss black painted side vents on the glass cover actually tie in much better on the car. He has a spare louvered deck that he offered to have painted gloss black and put on the car for me but I would have to keep and store the glass one which is a bit of a hassle. The glass deck also means the engine bay is finished in the unusual carbon fibre weave which actually looks much better in real life than it comes across in photo's.

Here is the louvered deck on the demo car. I didn't find it to be a huge issue to see out of when I drove the car but then I guess I'm used to the letterbox view out of the 4C so anything larger is like a picture window back there for me indecision

    IMG_1209.jpg

The same dealer had a pre-owned car in Verde Mantis with the louvered decklid.

I agree - I went for it on mine and have not regretted it. Not only is there the historical link but it fits the overall design of the Huracan as well.
