Macan-Junior - based on Q3

Any thoughts regarding the Macan Junior based on the Q3? Apparently far away 2020 - but as we know car development takes 6 years....

Porsche may consider another below Macan SUV model but right now, they do not have the capacity to actually build one, so it may take years before this car shows up. If ever...
The Macan isn't actually much smaller than the Cayenne, it is just a bit shorter and almost has the same width. Also, the Macan is not really light. The Turbo with air suspension weights around 2 tons.

Is the Evoque smaller than a Macan/Q5? It looks same to me.
I just thinkg about that Q1 which is so hideously wrong in size. Way to small for being an SUV - looks more like a Mini.
And biggest fear I have - the luxury brand becomes the wannabe-luxury-brand or other way round - the luxury brand for wannabe's

Not quite right, I'm afraid.
The Macan Turbo is 155 kg heavier than the Panamera V6 for example.
The Macan Turbo is only 45 kg lighter than the Panamera Turbo.
Also, the Cayenne V6 is only 115 kg heavier than the Macan Turbo.
Even more interesting: The Macan Turbo is 365 kg heavier than my already not very light 991 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet.
However, in comparison with the competition, the Macan Turbo is quite "light": The Audi SQ5 (313 hp) is 75 kg heavier than the Macan Turbo.

Brand awareness has risen over the past couple of years.
It is funny: When it comes to medicine, the chemical stuff we put inside our bodies, people couldn't care less about brands, generic products have a huge success and people want the cheapest possible. When it comes to cars, phones or tv sets however, people go for top brands. Weird.

This is indeed very weird. As my wife is a drug dealer like you I got more aware about that and I now insist more on brands, too. Maybe selective but overall I got more sensitive.
Same actually is true for food. The discounter food is the most demanded. And if the fish is out of a genetic manipulated breeder or not is for most people irrelevant. Shouldn't it be the other way round - don't care about your materials and think more about what to put inside you?

I guess people are willing to pay more money for stuff which actually tells other people that you are special. 
What others cannot see, well...not so valuable. A shame.

YEP! Thats why people rather order huge rims, instead any active accident prevention systems!

I tried to make a comparison and I think it is quite obvious that the Macan Turbo isn't the heaviest in its class but also not a highlight regarding lightweight constructions.
