How do you know?
Driver (owner?) is 52 years old and was caught by the fire with his son in the car. They both escaped unharmed.
Car had only run for 70 km...it was brand-new. 
Since the car had M-GC license plates, I still suspect it was either someone from the Geiger (US car dealer Munich) family or he got the car for a test-ride (maybe a very good customer who wanted to try it first before he buys it?). Or, another possibility: He bought it from Geiger Cars used and drove it over to his home (Rosenheim?) with the Geiger Cars Munich license plates.
Did that muc.collector guy post photos of the burned car on Instagram? It is a private account and I don't want to subscribe.
No matter who owns the car, it seems it was a brand-new one. What a shame. 
Maybe a factory issue? Or maybe it was damaged during transport?

So it is probably him...still weird the thing with the 70 km and the Munich license plates.
But as you said, no matter what, it is a said story.
Yep, very sad. I hope Ford is generous and gives him a new car (after the insurance stuff is sorted out).

Yes, 350 more cars but they are way too expensive. I like the Ford GT a lot, even with the engine it has (surprisingly) because it seems to sound nice but the price tag is just nuts for the performance it delivers.

500k for the car seems high as it doesn't have that supercar prestige. And know, as the exclusivity is going lower, it feels even higher ;) However - the past shows, that the limited GT always been traded to higher prices after a while. So it still may be a great collector car. However, maybe more for the US than for the European collector.

I remember the time when I got offered a used Ford GT for 70k EUR... Now they go for 200-300k.

2019 Ford GT Carbon Series Breaks Cover, Future Owners Already Shortlisted
This is a track-focused model, said to be 18 kg (40 lbs) lighter than the regular street-legal versions. The decrease in weight has been made possible by applying a polycarbonate rear hatch with extra venting, but also carbon fiber wheels with titanium nuts and a titanium exhaust system.
Despite the weight loss, this car still retains important comfort features such as air conditioning and an infotainment system.
Ford says that approximately one 2019 Ford GT Carbon Series unit can be built each week, and that they’re only available for already-approved customer applicants.
Additionally, Ford will also open the final owner application process on November 8, for select global markets.
