Well have been told today that CTS would mean a 9 week delay to my build slot, which I didn't have an issue with as had already accepted an 8 week delay for the buckets and CS pack
Then the bombshell, whilst they'd confirmed last week the 8 week delay the salesperson checked with vehicle planning again and the, as yet to be formally announced, message is that they may be withdrawing the buckets and CS as options on the car due to supplier problems - had seen the internet rumours about this but it is as the first time I'd heard it directly from the OPC; this might be a deal breaker for me as am buying this car to use as an 'arrive and drive' along side our 987.2 Spyder, and how can it be a GT devised car without them - wonder if they'll offer the buckets as standard in the Spyder if it comes to it?

I didnt spec LWB, and still have heard NOTHING about my build date..... Porsche needs to get their act together. this is very messy and likely to piss off a lot of loyal Porsche customers.

Yep, but the Porsche marketing department, in the UK at least, have got their hands on it and are referring it as colour to sample now....

What about the lap time vs. the red 997.2 GT3? Similar, better...?...
I will be drive Spa-Francorchamps with my GT4 on 8th July and I cannot wait for that when I see the handling and the fun on the road already!

Thanks! That is a 991 GT3. It is faster than the GT4

It was a standard track day . There was maybe 25/30 cars max. So most of the time you had an empty track .
I drove Dave's GT3 and then directly after , I drove Blueline's GT4 . Both for about 3 or 4 laps.
Verdict : 
The GT3 is faster , no dougt about that . It feels like a razor sharp track setting time machine . The speed you reach are getting frightening ( to me anyway 
)
The GT4 is more dramatic . The noise is more brutal , the car feels much lighter ( if only the GT3 could feel like that !!! ), it pulls strongly , the balance is superb ( I personally prefer a heavier back as in the Gt3 ) . Probably more fun , but not in the same league as a GT3 .
I did not like the '' blips'' on the downshifts . I like to '' blip'' myself and felt them intrusive . Maybe I would get used to them after a while . It does allow you to do very fast downshifts .
So, I did find it very fun , but maybe in the long run one could feel that he reaches his limits quicker in the GT4 . In the GT3 there is probably a very long way to go until you get to the limits and master fully that car.
The GT4 is a great ' toy ' ( not to be taken lightly ) , the GT3 is a more serious, faster older cousin..
