Funny that the now 3 years old base 991 with 75HP less is faster than the brand new M4. Would be interesting to see a GT3 on that beautiful track. What a sea view!
It (991) weighs 400lbs less so I'm not sure the HP difference would factor in at all. The 911 has the better chassis and its lighter weight is a definite advantage, and it shows. I guess you get something for the extra $30K.

Thank you guys. As for the bike, it's funny that you guys mentioned Monster and Streetfighter, because they were my two bikes that preceded this one! No, this isn't either of those. This is a MV Agusta Brutale.
Derder, given where I live a bigger garage isn't an option unless I have money to burn haha. I'm pretty lucky to have a garage in my own house in fringe of the CBD. Having said that I would love to have the other cars all in the same spot too. Maybe one day I will move to surburbia and build a huge underground garage.

Thanks. I've just watched it. It's funny watching this video because I feel like he's taking the words out of my mouth! Very sharp front end, playful rear end, lovely engine and throttle response. Even his setting of comfort for steering and suspension, and the midpoint sport for throttle is exactly how I've set mine up for the road! If only I can do videos as well as him. :)

The M4 won on rear seats and more features (deduct 12 points from the BMW and you get the sports car score instead of family car score).
Come on, the M4 is much faster even compared to a 991s ;-)

Test drove an M3 the other day and I didn't like it that much. Accurate but lifeless steering and very jittery ride (even in the softest setting) made progress a constant fight, rather than easily exploitable. I don't think the throttle response helped because the first part of travel is lifeless and then suddenly it comes on strong. The engine is a bit one dimensional (actually a bit boring) with masses of torque but no top end crescendo to hang on for and a stupid sound. It was fast though. Where a good car shrinks around you, this felt massive on B roads and apart from the acceleration and grip had nothing really to enjoy. The Alpina B3/D3 are much better resolved for road use.

The M4 is for sure a nice car from the BMW Familysport division, but it does need the CSL treatment before I am interested. Any inside news on a M4 CSL?

The latest I heard is no.
The car is 'CSL' as it is. It has so many lightweight components so it's a bit difficult to save weight, unless you remove all accessories and insulation.
Maybe save 60 kgs ?
I can only wish they would make a hardcore version with proper suspension, seats etc (Brakes are sorted now !).
Let's say < 1400kgs but I seriously doubt it !
When they spoke about it a year ago they were telling us less than 1500kgs and 7.40ish at the Ring.
I see today that was science fiction.
I think it's a fantastic all around sports coupe, better than the M3 E92 but not as exciting as the E46 M3 was.

Very well summarised! The E46 had a very special feel to it. Or we are just getting old and sentimental 
It would love to see a 'GT3' type M4. Stripped down and hardcore. That would be lovely!
