is it a decision on whether to buy a GTS or what colour/spec for the GTS you have decided to buy?

Both. Off to Porsche Centre Swindon on Saturday, in 3 days time, to hopefully make BOTH decisions. Appointment made for a test drive their demonstrator which is being brought down from its home in OPC Tewkesbury

I guess it depends if you are a fan of "Alcantara" . I think it might be heading for extinction, its been so over used by every maker that its uniqueness is long past, its just artificial micro fiber suede anyway, yes? As for the GTS embroidery in the headrests, somehow that just looks a bit overwrought for a Porsche. The owner knows its a GTS so why bother with the headrest "reminder"??.

The noise with the roof down and PSE switched open must be pretty outrageous
Absolutely amazing Iain, honestly the evo video which I started this thread with really doesn't do it justice at all. We were lucky with the weather and had the roof down, the pops and crackles out of the exhaust are really loud, and the bellow on acceleration is truly unbelievable. I simply couldn't stop laughing! It's a long time since I've heard a sound like it. The way the latest PDK blips the throttle in sport plus makes it sound even better, the blip on down shifting is immediately followed by the pops and crackles. You are going to simply love it!

Porsche Boxster GTS on order / Skoda Octavia Mk.3 daily drive
I've owned a few noisy Italian cars so am well used to nice exhaust sounds but the roar from the GTS when my salesman started it up with the PSE on inside the valeting building they have was just incredible for a Porsche Look forward to hearing what spec you've gone with.
I remember going to test drive the Gallardo 8 years ago and the salesman took us off the M6 onto the M54, dropped both side windows and floored it. I was writing a cheque instantly after that and think many GTS buyers will feel the same if an astute sales person does the same thing.
We're picking the Cayman up on Tuesday as I can't be bothered with the September 1st malarkey. I'll likely go over in the 4C which is pretty loud itself but no doubt Steph will drown me out on the way home in her new car
