GM announced horsepower and torque ratings for the new LT4-powered Corvette Z06, and damn are they impressive. The 2015 Corvette Z06's 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 makes an astonishing 650 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque, making it one of the most powerful cars on the market today, and the most powerful Chevrolet ever built.
Enjoy - screw the image problem - you can get either an 8 speed auto or a seven speed MANUAL! The only other cars with this much power to offer a manual are the Shelby GT500 and the Viper.

Harley people have their Harley leather costumes, Corvette people have their Chevy caps, Porsche people have their stacks of service receipts..... Only a bit of mockery there.
Actually, a bit of snobbery is a good thing. Really, why spend time from your life driving a Chevy when you can be in a more sophisticated vehicle?
Yep... I love merchandise - makes the world more colorful
And yep .... let people drive what they like to drive. A Chevy is for the Levy and the Levy is dry.... (btw - never understood that strophe).
I don't think Don Mclean understood either.
The secret of life is to admire without desiring.
Fantastic car, even more so for the price. Specwise it's an F12 competitor for the third of the price. And it's also a targa.
What interests me most, is whether they improved the driveability of it over the C6. That old one was quite a handful indeed as Tadge Juechter admits but the new one should see some major improvement in this respect. Will certainly testdrive it.

Looks pretty close to the z06 except for the price tag ;-)

Will Chevy's Traction Control overcome all that torque ?
Yes, it's pretty easy to manage torque when you can electronically stop fuel delivery as needed

It will be very very fast down the straights. The CCF brakes will really help it also. The convertible version looks better than the coupe I think. In silver it looks less "toy" like than in the other colors. I cant imagine a GT3 keeping up with Z06 except at autocross.
