My dealer delivered the first Swiss car about 2 or 3 weeks ago. It went to a guy living in my neighborhood .
He owns several Porsche , the yellow CGT is also his .

Haha no chance. Hers is in July and we will be in Turks and Caicos.
Might arrive on my son's birthday though, his 13th in late August. Was planning to do a dual party if the dates are around the same time. He doesn't know about the car, we slipped up last month but with the unexpected Ferrari he thought that was the car we were talking about.

I know doom said the 960 is in the dilemma of being a turbocharged or N/A engine , but Does anybody know if the 2019 960 will have a hybrid power train on top ? some say its being touted as a 458 rival , but as has been said before , the 911's already have that covered. Others say its to sit between 911 and 918 and Surely if it is to compete with the P15 mclaren are building (which is rumoured to have over 750 bhp) , it will need to have an electric motor.

Last rumor I read said the 960 would have a twin-turbo Flat-8. Achieving 750 hp with such a motor seems pretty easy (without electric motors). If you add 33% to the 991 Turbo S's 560hp you get 745 hp (and the Flat-6 is to be upgraded soon for the facelift - extra 33% more cylinders/displacement should make 750 hp in conservative trim).

interesting ,have you heard any rumours about what performance level that would put it in , could easily be approaching 918 levels if they can make it relatively light. I would have thought they would use hybrid tech bearing in mind the next 911 turbo is supposed to have it and by the time the 960 is released , batteries should be much smaller.

There may be hybrid versions (of almost every model in the lineup), but a pure petrol version would be very formidable if they chose to make one.

The wheels on the silver 918 look fantastic. Are they special order?
if you are talking about the one in Gnil's post inside the show room, then that's the standard 918 wheel. Standard finish.
If you are talking about the greyish silver, aka liquid metal one above that, that's the standard magnesium spyder wheel in standard finish.
The white one I posted above that is the magnesium spyder wheel in platinum satin finish.

Never say never. It is centre lock after all so it will fit onto centre lock cars. Off set could be different or the same, I have no knowledge on that.
If the offset of the wheels are compatible, I don't see why some can't put the wheels on a TTS. But I didn't know one can order the wheels by itself already.

It looks stunning. I think this is not a coincidence that Porsche chose besides the "obvious" and classical silver-ish liquid metal paints the dark blue metallic for their launch / press cars. Not an evident choice for the typical classic Porsche look suited for launch events, however they must have realized how beautifully it suits the 918 Spyder.
Besides, apart from the cost advantage, the other pro by comparison with the liquid metal paints is the lack of hassle to match the original paint in case of touch-ups needed to fix scratches...which for such a usable supercar must be a considerable asset.
