It's much more than that. Go sit in one and you will feel what I'm talking about. The interior trim they use looks like some cheap plastic fake carbon fibre, and the fonts on the dials is horrendous. Big big let down.

Are you talking about F-type interior only or about ash tray(it is actually not ash tray) in new AMG GT?

FWIW - I rode in the back of Mr Princehorn's Porsche 911 once or perhaps more as a kid in Austria in the sixities or seventies. That first time was all it took and I realized back then that this was the only car for me. He was a family friend and neighbor from up the street. When he came to viist I would just sit in the driveway and stare at the car. If it had not had the back seat I would never have had the chance to drive in it. Porsche knows how to start the love affair early - no doubt the back seats are important.

No only F type. No argument on the AMG interior. It's beautiful and makes you want one!
I was hoping for the new Mercedes heated cup holder with gyrostabilized Magic Cup control.
On the S coupe and sedan and the older CLs it has a nice polished wood cover. Hopefully this one will be not be plastic. Sadly its placed too near to critical electrical switches.
The G Class shows what Mercedes engineers can really do when turned loose on cup holder design!

Interesting! The articles published said electric power steering. Nice to see a new German car use hydraulic (can't think of another recent one)! Does it run the pump traditionally from a belt on the engine or from an electric motor?

How fast do you think the 991 CS would be with 30% more power?

With 510HP it would have been a disaster if it wasn't faster than the Carrera S.
Anyway by the time the GT is at the dealers we'll get information about the new 911s with more power and other enhancements
These improvements are never ending and competition among manufacturers always benefits the drivers.

As fast on the track as 991TS which is 50ps more powerfull is enough for me.
Oh, wait. I am still suffering from 911 allergy that you very skilled diagnosed... Even ordering 911T probably won't cure me enough for you.
