This project must have taken Porsche Marketing department long hours in the office.... pity , very superficial in my opinion. 80 units and Martini Stripes that's all the value that was added. Porsche has the Exclusive department that is still able to provide unique customization and in this case basically none of the capabilities were used .

reginos:
This type of meaningless special editions have a long history at Porsche. The 930 Turbo martini and the 924 Le Mans come to my mind. Both with stripes

Reginos, while I agree with your statement, please note that Porsche used to offer on the 930 the option 042: Martini racing stripes. It was not a special edition rather an option you could order the car with . It is rare but stil few left the factory in that configuration. I think Von Karajan had one too.

Thank you for the clarification. At that time Porsche had Martini as racing sponsors with many famous wins.

The 924 Le Mans at least had the 944 2.5l engine. (even if it did have seats that disintegrated and a lighting system barely better than candles) I also liked the white\gold wheels - but since my father had one, perhaps I'm a bit biased!
