It seems that they are awarding break-away designs that became commercially successful. Porsche does not deserve to be there as it hasn't done anything radical lately. Ferrari is not breaking any new grounds either.
The BMW deserves to be awarded for breaking out with a totally fresh design, although I don't like it at all.
The results are objective given that "the voters for this survey were mostly automotive designers and students of car design."
It is hard to know what to make of this survey. The inclusion of two Aston designs (with the V8 at the top) makes one think that they are clearly experts in their field. However, the inclusion of two Bangle designs makes one think that they may be experimenting with mind altering chemicals.
Well, I agree with the aston's being on the list. The Merc CLS... ehhh, not so much. The Veyron, yes. The Audi TT is a bit long in the tooth now... and the design is pretty boring. 5 Series- I agree with that. 6 Series- not really, I honestly don't like the design of the 6 series. Lotus Elise--- not really either... b/c it's nearly a 4 year old design at this point. The Gallardo is unique. Why not the addition of the Ferrari 612 or Ford GT?
