Interesting - I wonder if Porsche believes that the failure was partially due to revving the motor to redline when the oil and internal parts were still cold?
73 Carrera RS 2.7 Carbon Fiber replica (1,890 lbs), 06 EVO9 with track mods. Former: 73 911S, Two 951S's, 996 C2, 993 C2, 98 Ferrari 550
Some people still believe that these cars come with the break in procedure done at the factory and this is so false...
Whether the engine is broken in or not, revving the engine to high rpm from cold start is no good.
Maybe Porsche should have put in a progressive red line, say limit the engine to 5k rpm when cold, then as the engine warm up, start raising the rev limit until the proper temperature is reached. Something easily done in software.

Why did you change out the muffler? Not happy with the GT3 exhaust sound? Most owners have indicated they love it.
Yes i did love the former sound but this one is like a Cup one. the car now with new geometry is so responsive that you have to be very very gentle in high speed corner it is a scalpel.
regarding the blue light now, I think it is more from a warranty stand point
