Somehow I have not had issues with jeans, which I wear pretty much everyday except for one jean one time that I didn't wear in this car... The cream interior has held really well, the car has 26k miles... I have had it for 6 years... Can't come to terms to sell it... It is just too good for the money... 9 year old car, rock solid so far, just got a new clutch...

I had painted side skirts on my former 997.1 C4S . It was not a problem with the gravel etc... Still looked good after 3 years.
Coz you drive like girl.
Looking forward to Hockenheim next week
I hope you have installed a supercharger and grown big cojones

Is that the black Cayenne rim with the optional silver lining?A no cost Porsche Exclusive option! I skipped dinner when I saw that!!!
Note: there is no such thing as a NO COST Porsche Exclusvie option.

I remember the 90s but I do not remember any black rims then. Zero. Zilch. 
Actually, like I said before. In 2000, I ordered my 996 Turbo with black rims from Porsche (exterior color was guards red). The Exclusive department called back my dealer (after he had entered the order into the system) to confirm if the black rim order with the red exterior wasn't a mistake. They had only black on black on a regular basis by that time. 
Chrome wheels were never any early period, at least not in Europe. Unless of course you were driving a classic muscle (pony) car or were a pimp. 
Porsche put a special Millennium edition 996 on the market at some point, with chrome (actually high gloss) rims. We Porsche 911 fans in Germany called this car a "Turkish Bazar" special edition (no offense) and what is funny about it: A couple of years ago, I met a Persian owner of this special edition model and he had small persian rugs instead of the usual floor mats. You should have listened to the comments in the repair shop...

As has been said, different stroke for different folks. To me, the wheel blends into the tyre making it look odd, the satin wheels always appear dirty and in the UK, it's only jizzed up civics & ratty old BMWs that seem to have black painted rims nowadays - I wouldn't be surprised if many 997 GTS owners actually opt to have their wheels painted silver in a few years time.
I feel the same about the diamond cut wheels - especially as they don't repair very well. There is a chap who dumps his 997 cab in the same carpark as me (almost abandons it truth be told!) with the 997 TT 5 arm wheels which look absolutely hidious now they they're a few years old. Then again, the blue roof now looks a curious shade of green as it would appear it's never been cleaned from new!
As for chrome - again, in the UK, these are the preserve of the PT cruiser only.

The 996 40 Years model, that came after the Millennium, also came with high gloss wheels as standard but normal finish wheels were a no cost option. Apparently, this choice was offered because on the Millennium the gloss wheels put people off.

The Cayenne 21 wheels for some reason always get banged up. In 40k miles I had some rims refinished 3 times and had to replace 4 tires due to bubbles... All other cars combined: zero tires lost to bubbles and only minor scratches... Least to say I ordered the Macan with 20" all season tires...

I'm afraid I have to agree with everything said in the video and no, I/we are not getting paid by Porsche (I wish...).
The Viper may have been the wrong comparison for the 991 Turbo S. I would rather compare the Turbo S with the new upcoming Corvette Z06, the 458 Speciale or the new Huracan. Then, we can talk (maybe).
