Tiger had a long life, we've know of no other 20 year old indoor outdoor kitty in mountain lion, coyote and bobcat country; and he was munching meat with the dogs and keeled over and went fast, like I sure hope I do!! Sun is still leading the way although he needs to rest some now on the three mile loop.

Is that your Ridgeback Joe? very handsome! We tried a ramp with Surf when he was ill, and Sandy, they didnt go for it, hence the amg wagon which is low enough that even Storm with his arthritis, and now Sun with age could/can easily get in and out.
I did build steps up to our bed from a toolbox and Wiley's bass amplifier which Sun and Sky use most of the time now. Age.

in honour of the hot ripping santa anas and 100 + F temperatures we normally get in August, here are some stills from a video of my house in the 2 November, 1993 fire. poor quality but you'll get the emotion.
Wiley's godfather Kieron who came uncalled to help, whilst his girlfriend Lisa helped Wendy get the baby [Wiley was 3 weeks old], the dogs and cats down the mountain, is on the garage roof as we get hit at 2.30 pm. Flame hights 150 feet over the roof!! Thanks Kieron, Thanks Lisa.

The video of the flag with the flames ripping over the house was standard on TV and politicians even used it to sell us fear.
Our house was all cedar then with unboxed decks hanging off, a veritable firetrap. Thank God I took my neighbour's advice and bought 2000 feet of double walled hose for my hydrant, becuase we were on our own. The firemen and one woman in the doorway were CA Dept of Forestry smokejumpers who stayed ll night in our area, whilst the 12,000 regular fireman were pulled out at 1 pm, after several burned, The one who came down on the deck [through the burning doorway and down 30 feet] where I was gave me courage and I will always thank these crazy, committed nuts with a death wish. Later that night around 4 am we smoked their unfiltered camels in the smoke whilst I fed them.

Our house logo are Brass striking Rattlesnakes, there's 5 of them and I've always thought this captured Kieron's and my spirit, scared but refusing to lose, striking back. Keiron stayed all night and his rental burned down whilst he was saving my house with me, I replaced all his things but I will never have a finer friend.
This one is on top of the post by the carpark where you always see my cars now...The actual car port made it through 93 but burned in 07.
