    I've joined the family!! I just bought a 997S w/ 2500 miles.

    Looks like a great deal at the price.

    Can't get over how "cheap" the 997 is compared to UK prices.

    Niiiiice. Good find. It's got all you'd want too. Too bad about the seat belts. Like wearing white tennis shoes with a tuxedo. "Yeah, I see 'em..., but what's the point?"

    Thanks all.

    So now with a whopping 25 miles under my belt one of the things that is drastically different from my '96M3 is the sensation of speed. Doing 75 in the 997S is like doing 50 in my M3. I guess if I had to use a word to descirbe the feeling, I would have to say effortless. Love the car.

    I think it is standard in UK - i.e. all cars come with full leather. Same with tinted windscreen.

    This is correct. However, in most countries, the full leather interior is an option.
    Since Porsche UK is massively overcharging vs other European importers (even in RHD spec), throwing in a couple indispensable options was the very least they could do.

    The leather dash is a $3400 option here in the states. The previous owner also put a light tint to the car. I like that he didn't go too dark. It seems to match the car well.

    Devo - The sticker on the car was $107500. I got it for $94000 plus I paid $1600 for the CPO. OTD was $103100.

    Devo - CPO is Certified Pre-Owned. It basically gives me a 6yr/100,000 warranty as opposed to the 4yr/50,000. I plan on keeping the car for a while and felt more comfortable with an extended warranty. The 997S will be my daily drive.
    The 103 is out the door. Tax here is 7.75% Just trying to keep uncle sam happy.

    Great spec there. It was impossible to find a used car in the UK with a spec like that as I would of bought it. All I could find was very basic models or some outlandish spec selections that didn't make sence!

    I really wish I'd gone for Guards Red seat belts now.

    Once again good choice, it looks mint.

    Nice find and welcome to the group.

    Two things that are odd on the first pic... What's the reservoir at the back of the center console? My 06 SCab doesn't have it. Nor do I have the seat release on the inside of the drivers seat. Only the other three.
