I wish Porsche would be more serious, when it comes to quality control and their Nine-Lemons, that's been popping up in every part of the world. There's also the Cayenne / Boxster / Cayman / Panamera which hasn't been brought up yet, due to increase in rampant fanboyism lately followed by price increase which is fair enough compared to the competition.

Yeah, great to see the 918 seats in a 911. When the GT3 was introduced, i heard about the GT2 seats being no longer legal in some countries.
When i saw the side intakes i thought about the 991 RSR and the upcoming 2016/17 GT regulations (same with Audi R8's diffusor). I believe it's aerodynamically better to take the air from the side and keep the area around the rear wing as clean as possible. As the new GT regulations are rumored to be closer to the current GT3 class regulations than to GTE, waivers may no longer exist, so manufacturers have to adapt some elements to their road cars.
And what about a VW engine block? Do they want to use boxer engines e.g. in the Golf?? No, seriously?

Unless it's got some power upgrades it's a pretty weak facelift.
I think all the facelifts add a little bit of power - usually something that makes a difference for bragging rights, but fairly small real-world difference. Probably going to make a much more dramatic difference to those models changing from normally aspirated to turbocharged...

It is. But, 991.2 Turbo will be introduced pretty early. Maybe even end of this(calendar) year!
According to my P source 991.2 models are READY.

GT3 RS will be introduced as 991 model immediately after deliveries of 991 GT3 with new engine begin. It will be a limited car in numbers.
What is a bad and pretty weird thing is the fact that very soon after 991 GT3 RS intro new 991.2 models will be introduced. I heard that new 991.2 Carreras, Targas and Turbos will be introduced at the same time!
Basically, 991 GT3 RS will be model with very short production life.

Do you think they will tweek the power steering software in other 991/981 models to become more similar to the GT3 (more feel, less filtering) or will they continue to make a distinction with the GT3 getting the "sporty" setup?

I think this was the same with at least the 996 RS which was still being delivered after 997 Carreras were being delivered? And the 6RS was the lowest volume RS to be produced, 4.0 aside.

Did you drive 991 Turbo? I would not call its steering as mute at all...
991.2 will offer more "feel" in steering across model range.
Only have driven Boxster S, Cayman S, and Carrera S of new generation. Great news about more feel across 991 models. Would you expect this across 981.2 also?
