Impressive, I would never expect a 993 4S to dance like that!
Oh, these ladies can dance... dance very well indeed! You just need to know how to lead them

That's pretty awesome, extremely well driven!
Small update the 993 went for the yearly check in a friends Porsche air-cooled "clinic". Needs to be prepared for the spring - summer drives in the Alps , looking very much forward.
In the meanwhile , I received my new "toy" , was a long term wish to add a V12 Ferrari so this is my 2004 575M in special paint Grigio Nuvolari.
Thank you Bluelines! I am not able to say much about it yet due to the fact that I did not have time to drive it properly. I can only say that the V12 engine is just incredible: the torque and the sound are intoxicating (I am not sure whether it is the right word). I hope it handles well too, this I am not able to say yet.
I like very much the looks of the 550/575 because it reminds me of the old school classic front engined V12 Ferraris. I searched for one for some months and the objective was to find one in top conditions - well maintained and serviced (this one has about 24 K km on the clock). I wanted manual but since only 242 (out of 2060) units were made in this configuration it was a tough task. At the end I went for the F1 gearbox which is not a technological marvel but can be still enjoyed. Also wanted a special color and this one is in Grigio Nuvolari which is a paint to sample color (the color is a Maserati one).
Will post more as soon as I have the chance to drive it . Just to make it clear my 911s are all staying .

Exactly! The 550/575 has a beautiful old school yet modern look. IMHO one of the last Ferraris with a clean and timeless design.
Congrats again on a great choice!

I saw a rare version of the 575, the one with the rotating glass roof (Superamerica?). Where else? In the centre of Zurich. That is an exquisite piece!
But m4ever's is also a very special car of the Ferrari transitional era between classic and modernist. Schumacher got involved with sorting the handling, I think.
I prefer the front engined to the mid engined Ferraris, for looks and tradition.
Men of taste get such classic cars

In white? One drove past me today while walking to work. A very special car. The roof mechanism is pure genius in it's simplicity.
Shortly after a red F12 blasted by, then a F458 and then a F430 spider. Crazy.

That one was a kind of petrol blue with 3 piece wheels.

Hi Guys , thank you for the kind words!
Reginos: thank you, yes the one with the rotating roof is the Superamerica which is not only different because of the roof but also because the engine is tuned to 540 HP (instead of 515 HP of the 575M) and is essentially the same as the one installed on the 612 Scaglietti. The mechanics to whom I spoke told me that those are among the most reliable "modern classic" Ferraris (before the real modern ones) , hopefully it will go well. I plan to drive it and not to look at it.
Grant: thanks! I remember your 550 was a dark red (like a vintage 50's Ferrari color) or am I wrong? Beautiful, why did you let it go if I may ask?
Joost: Thank you ! The 2.7 Carrera RS in the photo is not mine, it`s a friends one . It is a genuine one and one of the last 50 made . It is a fantastic car but today it just economically unreachable. A good RS goes from 400 K Eur +. Few weeks ago a lightweight was sold at an auction for 1.5 mio USD. The good thing though is that we keep driving the RS. I am a big fan of the RS as well but my next project will be an R Gruppe 911 (I cannot afford a real RS!!).
Bluelines: You have a great 991. I think you will not miss the Rivierablau Boxster !
Gnil:
Congratulations on the 575 . I was checking out one the other day. Prices are very good at the moment . Probably a very good time to get one .
Hi Gnil ,thank you . Yes indeed it is a lot of car for the money and this was also a factor in my decision. I did an extensive homework before buying it (I knew next to nothing about it) and provenance and servicing history are fundamental.

My friend's was just a coupe with F1, Fiorano suspension, and race seats - not a convertible.

Hi Suzy , many thanks! I love vintage colors although I am aware often do not fit with mainstream tastes . Btw - I read with great interest your posts about the PTS on the 991.
Gorgeous 575 m4ever, there are not that many Ferraris on my bucket list, but a 550 is up there with the Porsches. Timeless design and apparently great chassis dynamics as well...

TomSilver:
I had a 575 in Grigio Titanium in 2004. Sold it after 2 years, disliked the attention that I got in the car. What a bad decision. I wish I would have kept it. The 575 has such a timeless design. I really love it.
Wow congratulations , must have been a beautiful car . I agree that the attention that you get with the car is the part of the ownership I am also to some extent concerned . I also love the design . Here is another photo of my one and one with a friend's CGT (incredible car).
