    Wood, Aluminum, or Carbon Fiber or nothing

    I am going to order a new car soon and I trying to decided on some interior options. Wood, Aluminum, or Carbon Fiber? I had a millinium Coupe that had wood. At first I didn't like it. But I got used to it over time. Has anyone just done their steering wheel without other pieces? Please post some pitures of your interior? What do you think?

    carbon fiber is probably the most geniune option, since most aluminum look options are plastic painted with aluminum

    PLEASE dont get wood in a Porsche

    It all depends upon your interior color. But you're really limited to carbon or standard trim (which is very good). Don't get carbon if the interior is black.

    Aluminum goes very well with the Terracota leather interior and silver exterior.

    Aluminum looks great with black or blue interior as well. Stay away from the wood; looks horrible. If you want wood interior, get the Bentley Continental GT.

    IMMO (in my minimalist opinion) the interior of the car is visually waaaaay toooooo busy (especially in lighter colors). Adding various different color and material trim is the last thing all those lines and shapes of the interior needs. Therefore a black interior with carbon fiber is the only interior trim package that looks totally sharp and amazing; again, IMMO.

    I will probably due Atlas / Sand Beige. I am not sure that Carbon will look anygood with Sand Beige. Anyone have pictures of this?

    I have the aluminum wheel option coming on my 997S. I love the way it looks and don't see many cars with this option.I'll post pic but, that will be a mid June before that happens. This wait is killing me.

    I just orderd clear side markers for my car on Ebay and saw the seller had most of the carbon and aluminum ect... parts cheaper. I will post their site address, everything is OEM they are called SUNCOAST MOTORSPORTS.

    If you are using sand beige consider the dark wood small package. This would be the gearshift, parking brake lever and a strip in the dash. It is just enough to break up the beige. If you order the sand beige leather headliner, also order the sunvisors and interior light in sand beige leather. They will definitely add to the overall appearance of the interior.

    Classic roadsters often used real wood and leather. I opted for cocoa and sycamore to recreate that feel.

    If only the aluminium was aluminium rather than nasty cheap plastic. It'd be a non brainer, then.

    That's why I stayed standard. Couldn't see the point of paying for more painted plastic. Mind you the carbon in the GT3 in Geneva looked nice.... and wasn't paint.

    Thanks Guys, I am going to go with Sand Beige Leather and i Decided that you really cant combine Carbon and Sand Beige and I think I don't want to do the wood. So i am adding rear console in leather and will paint the seat backs the exterior color. Thanks for all the great pictures

    Yes that is true. my 997 is Black interior. But I like the Sand better with atlas. I have learned before the best thing to keep in your car that can be seen is nothing. Otherwise you are always at risk.

    Come to think of it, does anyone know what color the air vents would be should one go for the large dashboard leather package and a bicolor interior?

    I do not trust the Car Configurator on this, I've noticed a couple errors with bicolor interiors. Maybe someone has managed to find a couple pictures.
    (Actually, any large dashboard leather package will do, even wood or carbon)

    Thank you, 997CarreraS. This was not what I was looking for, though.
    I was looking for a picture of a car with bicolor interior and air vents in leather (i.e. with any of the large dashboard packages). The car configurator shows them in the lighter color, which looks odd, as the surrounding area is black. I saw a similar black/beige interior in a friend's BMW, and it looked great (the air vents were black, which is the more logical setup).
