I think it's good to spice things up. I would give a sliding scale of points to all race finishers, not just the top 10. Plus bonus points for pole position.

I would 100% agree on Quali-points to be added - but double for the last race ? Imagine Vetter leads with 49 points and gets "kicked-out" and runner up wins ? what a joke ! terrible...(not even considering that some people suits AbuDhabi more than others - hence get a "double double advantage. Very sad.
Quali points would have been very fair - for those throwing everything into that in order to make at least some points.

The problem I see is that its Abu Dhabi the GP that counts double, really? that is a pathetic tract with practically no exitement or technical difficulty. If they do this then a track like Spa or Monaco should be the last one of the season... one of those deserves to count double.
BTW, if this new rule would of been present in past seasons, Massa would have been champion in 2008, and Hamilton would not have any championship title, Kimi would have won in 2003 and Shummacher would only have 6 titles, and Alonso would have won in 2012 instead of Vettel. Makes chanmpionship titles seem so arbitrary in that you change a little rule and all of a sudden championship trophies change hands so easiy...

Last race of the season needs to be somewhere with good enough weather in November. I would prefer Austin but a lot of end of season deals (with sponsors and for driver seats) are done in Abu Dhabi so the Team Principals prefer it.

Great Idea - make it retroactive back 15 years and tumble up the standings and record books a bit! Especially since Massa was robbed in Brazil!
+++ points for qualifying are a must!

Quali points added??,,, triple points for the last race still would not be enough for another driver to catch the Vettel. Imagine Vettels lead if they bunged pole position points to him, he could take the last 3 races off.

"I couldn't do it"
haha.... like that Suzy! :)
btw... last race double points is so rubbish.... why having a competition and rating such a race like Abu Dhabi double - this is insane. A driver can lead with 48 points and the last race his car cracks or someone crashes into it and the second becomes first... stupid rule!
