Looks like the turbo is going to be just a bit more than a cayenne S, in the US this could mean a 70k$ base price. ill take that.
The leaked PCNA presentation slide we saw a little while ago listed US prices at 52K for the Macan S and 75K for the Macan Turbo. Not too shabby; it also leaves a sizable delta for the four-cylinder base model to undercut the Boxster/Cayenne as the entry-level Porsche.

Fair enough.... there will be a "non-S Version" right.
Regarding options - isn't that exactly the point, either it is a wanna-be non-option car or a fully equipped 90k€ Macan 
the turbo version of any porsche usually comes pretty loaded, even if u add another 10k on the turbo its still cheaper than a cayenne S with similar options im pretty sure. we will see. im getting one for sure to replace the expensive and slightly bigger/faster cayenne turbo.

Considering all options I want for a Macan Turbo, a Macan S (instead) would be only 10k EUR cheaper. Big surprise. I'd rather pay the 10k EUR for 60 hp more power. So Macan Turbo it is.

You cannot imagine how much I have to rely on rumors and put the pieces of (very little) information together, to get a hint. Not easy. It was different with my 991 Turbo S since I was kind of directly involved but with everything else, well...not easy. 
All I know is that a Macan Turbo S is in the planning but I have no precise timeframe. Power is rumored to be 430 hp, also the car is rumored to have more standard options (PDLS+, metallic paint, 20'' wheels, leather package, PTV Plus, Sport Chrono package, heated seats front, etc.). Not sure about the air suspension though and PCCB (when available) will be very likely optional too. Rumored base price for the Turbo S is around 95k EUR.

Macan range generally seems very good value compared with say Boxster (I know different type of car obviously) Macan Turbo at £60k here in the UK seems the best deal with all the standard options thrown in (PASM, PDK, full leather, adaptive sports seats, PCM / Nav, Bose).

Is PCCB not available on the Macan at this point? I've not seen any mention of PCCB anywhere. I wonder which size PCCB it is going to be? What is the size of the rotor on the 911 (not the 410mm GT3 one)?
As far as I heard, PCCB development isn't quite ready and the size will be smaller than on the Cayenne because their price tag is supposed to be slightly lower too (I heard something about 6-7k EUR, Cayenne PCCB is almost 9k as far as I remember). I don't have details though, only that PCCB is coming, just no timeframe yet.
The 991 Turbo/Turbo S PCCB system has the same size as the GT3 PCCB, in front they even share the same size/system with the 918 but not the Carrera models PCCB (smaller calipers/different system). The 991 Turbo/Turbo S, GT3 and 918 actually have a 3rd generation PCCB, the Carrera still runs on the 2nd generation as far as I remember (maybe they changed it to the 3rd gen in the production process this year but I doubt it).

I actually think that it would have beneficial for the looks if the roof-line would have been with less slope. The car type is more suited to have a more boxy shape in the rear. I also think that the car would have looked more mascular and less "baby"-cayenne. The reasoning behind this design approach is always the porsche DNA and 911 iconic shape and inheritance, but for the specific type of car I don't agree.
Really like the car apart form this particular thing. If they would have gone for a less sloppy rear it would have been more cargo space, better room in the back for adults as a positive side affect. Win-win :). But this is of course my very personal oppinion

same for me but as i'm not in hurry cause,i'll not do the same mistake as with the cayenne S, getting the first one on the market.
i'll wait a bit and maybe or even for sure a turbo S will appear.

i received an information from my Porsche dealer t that in Switzerland the official presentation for the Macan will be at the Geneva car show. i don't really get this.
Does this means that all the swiss dealers want have any Macan's before March in their showroom
i need to check this because for me once a car is presented at any car show, the dealers should get the car and been able to make orders. No??????????????????

Just came back from the dealer. If I place my order within the week, I'll get a spot in the first Macan allocation for the Kuwaiti market with a May delivery date.
I specced a Macan Turbo in rhodium silver metallic with a two-tone interior in black/garnet red with everything from Burmester and heated/cooled 18-way seats to carbon fiber side blades/interior trims and stainless steel front/rear skid plates. Opted for the 20" Spyder Design wheels; the 21s are LUSCIOUS but I know that one pothole on Kuwait's sh***y roads is all it'll take to separate me from a few thousand dollars. Besides, I love the design of these wheels; they're a modernized version of the ones on my Cayenne so they'll serve as a nice reminder once the Cayenne is sold.
The issue, however, is the price. The Macan Turbo is considerably more expensive than I anticipated with a base price of 28100 KWD [approx. 73290 EUR/99400 USD], putting it above the base price of a Cayenne GTS. With my options added on, I pulled the car up to a whopping 33960 KWD [approx. 88600 EUR/120000 USD]. For a country with no taxes, this is an almost absurd price for the segment. Another customer was speccing his Turbo order and complained of exactly the same thing; he too expected a lower price point for the segment and wasn't happy about looking at a compact SUV costing 120000 USD. The way the pricing structure is set, the base Boxster and Cayman models will remain the cheapest Porsches in Kuwait even when the base Macan shows up.
At this point, it looks like Porsche might be getting greedy.

Might be getting the Turbo for my daily drive for back end of 2014; called into Porsche Reading on Fri and put down a refundable deposit and specced a car, all depends on work changes over the next couple of weeks but with miles dropping I can move away from the diesel and a quick petrol semi-SUV really appeals for the countryside where I live.
reading already have 35 deposits though, 1400 cars supposedly due in the Uk in 2014 so be interesting to see where my potential build slot is
in the meantime a set of winter wheels and tyres on their way for the Spyder...
