Well...my dealer fills up 95 octane fuel to save a few bucks, something I really despise. Last time I told him to keep his fuel money and I filled up my car myself. He offered a 100 EUR gift certificate in return. Well... Smiley

all other discussions on the forum rgrd 911 turbo s are dullr

Next Sport Auto brings the 991 GT3 Supertest, so I guess the issue after that could offer the 991 Turbo S Supertest. Not sure though.

When will the Sport Auto  issue on the GT3 be released?

Oryx White . Isn't this the first time a metallic white was offered on any 911?

Regarding the Oryx white, I think you're right. They had Glacier white on the PTS list (Audi color) but never saw Oryx white on a Porsche. (Think it's a VW color, since the Golf VII has that on the optionlist)

Oryx White is PTS, according to one of the Porsche employees on the booth. According to him it is already (or about to appear) on the approved list. I am fairly certain that it is the same colour as on the VW Golf VII as they absolutely look the same.

In my opinion, the car looks better than on pictures. The rear looks less busy than anticipated, still some stylistic hints of AMG at the back but not necessarily bad. I doubt though that this car will age well in terms of design.

i tried but couldn't find a color where it looks genuinely good. maybe still best in white. the rear is much to high, makes the car look like it would float on something....when the rear wing is extended it gets the looks of a suburban tuner's job ( very much like the carrera 991. i had a 991 C4S in front of me recently when it had its spoiler extended. rather ugly duckling...luckily i could overtake fast---))) don't know what porsche had in mind....the turbo S seems to feature cool tech but then why spoil the esthetics of it so grossly? they got the GT3 right though. i have already put down a deposit + letter of intent for the GT3 RS.  i just hope i will be able to get one without the decals. p

Re: OFFICIAL: 991 Turbo and Turbo S

In the early 991 Turbo/S development days, there was a rumor that Porsche tests some sort of "foldable" rear wing. Not sure if this was supposed to refer to the active aerodynamics with the "inflatable" front lip but a source actually indicated that he saw a wing system which is almost invisible and which kind of goes up and then unfolds and gets much bigger. Sounded quite spectacular in my opinion. It didn't happen though. Maybe due to the space restrictions of the AWS (wider body was necessary to fit the turbo engine incl. intercoolers)? yes

Re: OFFICIAL: 991 Turbo and Turbo S

Is the 2nd car agate grey?

And I have to admit that the blue one looks amazing.

Re: OFFICIAL: 991 Turbo and Turbo S

I think the second car is GT silver but I am not sure. IMHO it looks amazing like that. (the GT silver is in real-life lighter. On this picture it appears to be darker than it is in reality. This is probably due to the setup of the camera.)

The next grey car has more tints of blue in it. That's the Rhodium silver.

Re: OFFICIAL: 991 Turbo and Turbo S

When I looked at the article personally I think it's a pity that the Turbo S has black exhausts and chrome text on the back "Porsche Turbo S" I think this would be more in harmony when it's black too. Or painted in exterior color.

    What do you think?

Overcast days makes GT silver look much darker than Rhodium silver.  On bright sunny days, it's harder to distinguish the two colors.  Just like it's harder to distinguish white from silver from distance.

I can have my 991 Turbo S in my garage too but I cannot register it. The fine for dealers who break the embargo is 20k EUR as far as I heard, also they will be sanctioned with future order slots.

Not sure how registrations are handled in other countries but as long as the car isn't officially delivered and registered, the dealer is in the green. Driving around with dealer plates is a different story. Smiley Smiley
