IMO the Panamera facelift is a very successful design. Very unique and individual and one that will prove long lasting.
Simplicity lasts while overornamentation and modernity are short lived. Talking of Mercedes see how the plain and claasic Bruno Sacco designs have transcended time as opposed to the pretentious later ones.
Totally agree. Although I have to admit, this one looks, apart from the front, not bad at all. I even kinda like the side profile of the car. Ouch... That did hurt to say that about a merc . Normally I don't like any merc or AMG, but when they do something right, I'm fair enough to admit that too.
Regarding the Panamera, when I first saw pictures of the 1st gen, I thought there was something wrong with my eyes. What an ugly car. The strange thing is, that when I first saw the car in person, it wasn't as ugly as it looked on pictures nd whit the years passing, I started to like the design. Lots of Porsche designs have to grow on you I guess. the facelift looks pretty good IMO.
On the other hand, the MB cars from the past 15 years or so, never grew on me. I have no clue why, but there is just not one MB design that I really like or have started to like over time. It's probably just a design direction that doesn't suit my taste. I'm more into the clean design from Audi (some call it boring).
Maybe this S-Coupe design direction can convince me more to like MB cars... (They just have to something about that front )
