I think I've seen better, but honestly, I don't mind it that much.
That said, SUV == Meh design. The only SUV I've ever seen that wasn't meh, whatever, it's an SUV, who cares, is a G-class.
They're like a relatively good looking bug. Sure, compared to other bugs they could be good looking, but it's still a gross insect at the end of the day and will never be a super model human being.

Gag...
Like a bad derivative of the Lamborghini off roader...
Hehehe, I thought the same. It could come from the Lamborghini design department.
Anyway, if you will see this thing in your rear mirror, you will start sweating.
The secret of life is to admire without desiring.

Who is attracted by Lexus and why?
People who are not keen drivers that's for sure but Lexus build quality, reliability and dealer service is better than almost any other. We've a friend who would have nothing else - but we also have another good friend who not only drives Volvo's - he's just bought his third XC 90 - but is a caravanner as well....

If someone views his car in the same way as his refrigerator, I suppose Lexus might be alright

In the last few years I feel volvo was gone in the right direction. Sure they aren't very sporty, fast, or great performers, but they embraced the fact that people buy their products because or security, reliability, and subtle styling. And their current design language shows that, that said current volvos don't look bad at all. Lexus on the other hand wants to appeal to a clientele that wasn't buying their product before. This is an example of a brand trying to be something they're not.

What about the LFA? My wife's CT hybrid looks good too. I'm typically not a Lexus guy but they have some decent models. How about the IS-F?
LFA and IS-F are both pretty sporty no? What about Futch's Lexus?
That being said this concept SUV is in fact quite hideous

Not everyone are car nuts like you or me and to them indeed a car is simply white goods on wheels. For someone who wants comfortable, effortless and utterly reliable transport, to whom a car is purely a means to get from A to B, then cars like Lexus or Toyota fit the bill well. The weird styling is, I guess, Lexus attempts to be individual. They've certainly succeeded, even if not to many people's taste.
