    Rallye de Paris 06

    Great weather, good group of friends (I was again with the Ferrari boys! )
    F1 Magny Cours on Sat and Val de Vienne on Sun, both great tracks!
    And 911S once again shone the whole weeekend!
    Ferrari drivers were impressed!
    The CLK DTM AMG is still menta!
    Some great cars!
    Only took a couple of pics though, sorry.

    Some of the reds!
    A majority of Stradales and F430 (15 in total) and a couple of 612 which were surprisingly very agile on the track!

    How did the 430s do compared to the Stradales?

    It's very difficult to tell bc every drivers is different and the Stradale drivers are by nature more track day oriented and hence have more experience.

    Most Stradales were faster than the 430 but there was one very fast F430 driver up there with the fastest.

    He had carbon brakes too.

    I'd say they're par probably, Stradale clearly has the best chassis it would seem but where it loses, the F430 makes up with power and especially much more torque.

    Slow.

    But definitely due to driver so don't take my word for it.

    Val de Vienne is a slow track with loads of turns and the Boxsters were doing good, so no reason for a Cayman not to do well.

    Lotus Exige were on fire and kicked everybody's butts!

    Thanks for the response Fanch. I'll agree with you that if the Boxster did well in corners, the Cayman should have also. Had to be incredibly exciting to participate.

    The GT3s were at home on both tracks and performed extremely well. Best of all the 911s.

    A couple of 996 Turbos were fast too but lost efficiency after a few laps, it's a heavy car.

    I posted the best time of the 997s and was very close to the GT3s, but then again, take it with a pinch of salt as every driver is different of course.

    Which car came out tops at the end of the day though???

    But overall, fastest cars were the Exige, the M3CSL, the Stradale, GT3, couple of Turbos, etc.
    Very difficult to judge as this event is open to all level.

    I found myself "blocked" several times by slower cars, not much you can do about it, this is why it's a regulatiry contest and not a timed one.
